He did a long and very interesting interview on FYP Podcast a couple of weeks ago, which explained a lot

All good. Nothing bad.

Absolutely right and Parish will be the first to admit that he has made mistakes but look at the overall picture.
In fact I believe he used words to the effect "Do you expect a Chairman never to make mistakes ?"

No of course not. Should we expect someone in his position has a duty to learn from previous mistakes? Do we feel he has? No doubt opinion would be divided on that.

A fellow fan said to me that he views he’s character as a diluted version of Jordan which I thought was an interesting observation.

We will only know the facts if we kidnap Dougie, administer the truth drug and get him to enlighten us.

I suspect he was hampered by greedy agents, fake prospective buyers, indecision by some selling clubs, and (probably) uncertainty by Mr. Parish, resulting in last minute failures with no time to sign back-ups.

We could have bought Ben Watson as a free agent which would have greatly helped our midfield and provided relief for Cabaye who is showing wear and tear. Can't blame Benteke for all our failures, although I guess most people will, the midfield supply has not been of the best.

Time for the unsung and much criticised men on the bench to step forward and shine.

Hi MM walk was good 4K.
I'm not an expert on transfer costs,in fact none of them are worth it nowadays.
But that's what they cost.
Reported fees of 12M for Schlupp,9M for PVA and 26M for Mamadou seem ok to me when you realize the Scousers paid £75 mill for Dick Van Dyke and they had Mamadou.!!!
So 13 points needed 6 teams below us,not looking to bad to me.

Parish will never admit mistakes in the transfer window, its always down to clubs valuing their own players more than we do. What else can you expect them to do? We either target players we can't afford or don't put the money down for the ones we can.

I believe any prem side's fans should be entitled to believe their team will have 3 keepers and adequate cover in key positions. Especially when the chairman has led them to believe that January we would remedy the mistakes made in the past window. We've known Mandanda was off for a year now, surely. And still they tried to take the piss out of Getafe late on in the window, instead of paying a a reasonable buy out clause and getting him into the squad.

Parish has been shown to be incompetent, verging on negligent in two successive windows. He loves to bask in it when times are good, but then scurries off when they're hard. I think that's a fair point of discussion of a Fans internet site.

The keeper situation is a joke. But it's because Parish wants to tear the &rse out of every deal and you can't. I also think it has something to do with not wanting to be in a situation where he has to call time on Speroni. But Speroni or Hennessy will have to go in the summer or Speroni become a coach. Regardless, it's not up to Parish to call, it he has in the past and it becomes a problem.

The £40 mil was never going to happen. More like the amount we nearly spent on 31st August plus a bit more. It turned out to be less because in January you sometimes have to, especially when they know you have to. Don't put yourself in that position to begin with would be a good way to operate.

someone tell me why he has to explain to anyone what he does with his money, he told you when he and the rest took the club over that it will be run like a business to make sure we dont go under, you lot dont spend as much of your own money to keep this club alive,if he followed your advise we would be gone forever,so if you dont like it run away quit or support the team and hope we dont go back to the dark days which is only just around the corner at any time with stupid spending, tell me what club around us is safe if you have a good player the big clubs take them law of the jungle,if theres a player we want so does everyone else, people on here think they have a given right to ask them to spend all there money to keep them happy,

We could afford a keeper in August and January and didn't sign one. No?

He doesnt need to explain but would be nice if he could let us know the reasons of failing to sign the posistions the manager had highligted we needed cover in.

Love these posts always bring out the "how dare you say anything even slightly anti parish brigade"

Compared with those who as fans are allowed to voice concerns.
