We had a bid from Reading reported at £8m and turned it down. Leeds, Bristol City have also both been linked but I think it more likely to suit both player and club for him to go to the Prem.

I have seen Hugill play a couple of times and not been impressed with him at all. He is a huge Middlesbrough supporter and used to work in a bar in the town.

Would we want to be in a position where we were relying on him to start 4/5 games in the run in? He’s certainly not worth £8m! Preston wouldn’t turn down that if the offer was genuine!
