I agree. She (Steph McGovern) also manages to turn single syllable words into two syllables, with undue emphasis on the second syllable. For example “poor returns” becomes “poo-ER returns”. That doesn’t make sense either. In our house we assume she must have a “friend” in a high place at the Beeb But would you? That has taken 3 pages to ask, HOL is truly slipping.

Why do they call contactless cards "contactless" when you use them by making contact with the reader? Why not call them "contact cards"? They are contactless aren't they? You don't have to make contact? Anyway, here's another....Bank branches. Why? Does anyone ever go in one anymore? I tried this morning as some f***wit had given me cheque. It was 10.30am and the bank wasn't even open yet! So i posted it through the letterbox instead. When was the last time anyone went in an actual bank?

Don't let anyone tell you it's easy being a bank robber. Or a car thief. These driverless cars make it impossible to nick a car without drawing attention to yourself. As for getaway driver.....that's one of yesterday's jobs.
