Is this your new thing? If you type "Premiership" into Google you get the EPL then about half a dozen other real football leagues and the joke that is the SPL comes about seventh.

People here call the SPL "the fitba".

The demonization of CPFC fans of TP (based on the infantile notion that a judicial decision against his contractual claims equals his devilishness in all matters pertaining to his tenure at Palace) is one of the most frightening examples of treacherous, ungrateful, murderous, brainless, cultish, Manson-follower-like behaviour I have ever beheld. I am ashamed of these morons.

I thought it was based on the notion that he f***ed off two days before the season started and left us in the s***, and tried to rip us off in the process. I also thought I'd made my own mind up about that and used my reasoning faculties to do that. Perhaps I'm deducing that from the fact that the moment I heard it on the radio, and before looking on here or speaking to anyone else, I immediately thought, "B*****d".

Maybe it's just me.

I’m ashamed of this moron.

Does that help?

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

And whichever way the court had found would have made no difference to my opinion of his disgusting behaviour.

You are aware of what happened at Gillingham? My opinion of his behaviour is based on the fact that he’s a repeat offender of being a deceitful cnut. Good manager though but as mentioned was always nothing more than a job to him with no apparent invested emotional involvement (don’t remember many “we’s“ in interviews for what that’s worth...). Perhaps a good thing but they’re the self indulgent managers that move on at the first opportunity. A little like a snake forms no emotional bond with its owner.

That's your opinion. This is for the OP to see that there are differences in opinions at Palace concerning TP. BTW, how many managers have we had since him? I've lost count.

It was a complete transformation the way we went from a team with a soft belly, to a totally disciplined unit. The number of nervy '6 pointers' we won 1-0 was incredible, and was the reason why we finished 11th, which was 'top of the bottom pack' if that makes sense.

I think he was a very strong minded leader and everything had to be done his way or not at all. Like Warnock I wouldn't have wanted him as our Manager for 10 years or anything like that, but he certainly got us 'to the next level', which in our case was to be Prem survivors, and I can't complain at that.

The money thing and his departure has been much speculated upon, I guess that how long he lasts at any club is also partly down to how long the owner/chairman thinks he is irreplaceable.

He did a great job for us in a very short space of time, which included a very good transfer window where he brought in Dann, Ledley and Jimmy Mac. What went on after that between him and the Chairman god only knows.

The way he left and the timing was not great, a bit like the Fat Sam situation we found ourselves in. My own thoughts are that he is a good manager, but uncompromising.

Your Chairman is a good guy and Boro through and through, so it will be interesting to see what happens. If it does go tits up it would be down to Pulis spitting his dummy out...

The high court stated that Pulis intentionally left us on the eve of the new season, which aside from the money aspect is a really s****y thing to do:

[Link]

"The day after he had secured payment of £2 million ... he dropped the bombshell on the club that he intended to leave, leaving it, as must have been his intention, in the lurch on the eve of the new season."

I think really you owe an apology to those Palace fans who based their opinion on a high court decision which confirmed that he deceived the club as well as attempting to f*ck it over. Or do you think his actions were acceptable? Pardew gets more stick than Pulis does and his only mistake was letting his ego get in the way; at least he seemed to genuinely care about the club. He also got us out of the sh*t position that Pulis left us in.
