I sit in the Whitehorse so my view was not the best however when I got home and watched it again I thought it was. Graham Poll also said that the challenge Puncheon done on de Bruyne was a yellow then after the game he said it was a definite red. He's just being controversial for the sake of it.

I think too much heading may have made him slightly deranged.

And BTW it's a bit rich Guardiola complaining about refs not protecting players when he's got Kyle Walker in his first team.

It is not maths is it? There is bound to be debate.

As for Wilf, there is no denying he gets fouled a lot and does not always get what he should but on the other hand does go down easy sometimes as well.

I do not think that was a pen. All the going down in the box for penalties spoils the game but that is my view.
I get wound up when people say: he is entitled to go down as there is contact.
Football is a contact sport and contact is not synonym for fouling. We now have the ludicrous situation that with set pieces everything is allowed, shirt holding, pushing, shoving, blocking, arms flying, leaning. However as soon as there is any attempt in open play players go down and want to win penalties. I would actually like to see the rules changed, but that is an while away I am afraid.

What's all this "Soft Penalty ? ". Next we will hear about "Hard penalty".

You hear so many hackneyed phrases about penalties - "Harsh" "I've seen them given" "Outside the box it's a foul" "He was looking for it" etc etc.

He does go down far too easy and he's always moaning at the refs, it's only a matter of time until he does get a ban for diving, hopefully it won't happen in a crucial point in our season (can't remember the last time we haven't been at a crucial point in our season though).

*Usual disclaimer: I love Wilf and think he's a fantastic player but someone needs to get him to sort this aspect of his character out.

I agree with the above poster. He can go down a bit easily, which in the 90th minute v Man City I totally get - but there will now be refs more reluctant to give us what we are due.

Debatable penalty, but not a dive. Thought it was a penalty from where I was standing. The thing that irks me most, is that if it was Sterling, would these pundits being saying this?

Also, the 'horror tackle' on KDB couldn't have been that bad, as he's 75% on FPL for a 'knock'. Couldn't have been that bad then, could it?

"Dirty dirty" Palace: 14 fouls
"Not-at-all-dirty" City: 11 fouls

You had a forward marking a forward. Sterling had lost him, didn't get goal side and pushed him. Zaha went down. It was a foul, in the box and was a penalty.

Are you serious? seeing what you see is not allowed when not "supportive"? There is some place for objectivity wouldn't you think?

Its such a shame Wilf does this. He doesn't need to

He does go down easily - but he does that all over the pitch. His upper body strength seems poor.
