Whilst initially hearing in January, I was very excited at the prospect. And again this time very excited. Having said that, after a bit more digging it would seem that Dortmund fans have been far from impressed with his contribution for them. And actually say he’s not even half the player he once was. So whilst I’d still be all for it at the right price. Maybe not the dead cert to be great it would seem at first viewing.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Schurrle' by Midlands Eagle Lot of talk currently as Dortmund just said he is being released to negotiate with another club. However it looks to me like putting 2 and 2 together to assume this must be Palace as there is a lot of chatter about Dortmund being in for Zaha. Its all chatter really isnt it. However, he is a bit of a gamble despite the pedigree. Good read here: Pretty inconsistent. What if he is talking to us but actually its because Townsend is off...

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Schurrle' by Midlands Eagle I think Borussia evaluates him at 15 million. Cause they paid a lot for him. Would you drop that out of Zaha's asking price to get Schurrle? Your choice of words, that he has been let "free" to negotiate might actually make people think he'll come free. He won't, Dortmund will want money. I disagree with the writer of the article though, he is not average, he'a good player.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Schurrle' by Midlands Eagle I do really worry about our season without Zaha, although I'm fairly concerned going into the season with our midfield looking as weak as it does too. If it ends up being that we have to lose Zaha, then getting £55m + Schurrle, and using that £55m to get RLC and Antonio would be the best way to lose him for me. I can see RLC being in the £40m range at a minimum.

How many times did you see him live? He joined a poorly performing team and then got injured. He is total class and would be an upgrade on most of our squad, that's why I would blooooooooody take him.

This is just a hunch but I think schurrle is on his way to Watford as a replacement for richarlison could be wrong but that’s where I see him going
