We did not though did we, we got shot right in the center of our forehead......
Amazingly we seemingly are surviving brain surgery

It now looks like we dodged a bullet with Pelligrino and Silva as both Southampton and Watford seem to be in freefall

Dutch managers have proved a wrong un when managing in the prem.
Ruud Gullit ,Van Gaal, Koeman , René Meulensteen, Martin Jol , Frank de Boer,Dick Advocaat .. fair to say all failed, and sacked, only one that did ok was Hiddink winning 11 of 13 games as interim at Chelsea.

Crack on Swansea I say .. get him in .

Finished 8th last season but been disappointing under Pellegrino.
Depending on how results go they could be dragged towards the relegation zone today.

Koeman didn't do too badly did he ?

In his first season at Southampton they finished 7th in his second and last season there they finished 6th and last year at Everton they finished 7th.

He did ,more looking at his Everton stint this season where they suffered their worst start in 12 years spending 140mil in the process.Southampton was tidy, credit where it’s due. His Barcelona dream is just that now.

I'm looking at his overall record in England, not just a 9 game PL spell this season when admittedly it didn't go well for him.

Yes he spent circa £140 Mill but the net spend was circa £45 Mill and he lost a big player in Lukaku.

Their "Black Box" is akin to the 'man behind the curtain' in the Wizard of Oz; not all that it seems. In Southampton's case it's just a sad little man with a card index.

As far as I am aware it is a comprehensive analysis of a plethora of managers/coaches, maintained by Les Reed and only accessed by him. I'm sure it is all stored electronically !

Clearly it was used in the recruitment of Claude Puel. Of course he departed the club but they did finish 8th and reached the League Cup final so I don't think he did that badly.Puel is doing fine with Leicester and they did beat Southampton 4-1 at 'St Mary's' !

Dave, you're behaving a bit strangely towards this black box strategy or us researching players and coaches in advance of need, and months after complaining we haven't prepared, and possibly complaining in a few weeks again.

Whilst I agree our preparation and planning for areas we knew were either definite or likely issues has been amateurishly shambolic and Parish deserves the criticism but you cannot complain there and then criticise researching and planning as well.

There's more to it with Soton because of the Van Dijk situation. They look unsettled by all the off-pitch drama. Pelligrino also doesn't seem to know who is best XI is.

Pellegrino recently was criticised for saying he left Van Dijk out for "Tactical reasons".Van Dijk wants away, he doesn't want to play for the club and his recent performances have reflected this.He has looked disinterested and unfocussed so I can understand him being left out for "Tactical reasons"

How the club must rue not selling him in the summer.

Willo agreed,obviously does not help.
What ever process you use the Manager HAS to win matches or your out.
Saints finished 5 points ahead of us last Season, they are a point in front at the moment.
Very little between the 9th and 20th in the Premier League.
