Well it explains the large number of empty seats in my section.

A mate of mine got locked out as the result of those that caused problems at the turnstiles.

Sadly if flares getting in undetected one again only be a matter of time before a terrorist incident occurs.Surely security should be able to stop this childish minority before a more serious incident happens

From what I've picked up on social media and on here is that hundreds of fans with valid tickets were forced back to the station because ticketless fans got in. The hf already had a couple of hundred tickets so why would they need to bum rush the show? Who was it then?
Added into the mix is the setting off of flares which probably didn't help the fans outside cause if I'm honest.

Was there room inside for 300 more supporters? Hearing mixed reports on that one.

Also heard that some of the hf started having a pop at some palace fans whilst kettled in after the game. That's from a reliable source.

Have I missed anything or got anything wrong?

Sounds like security at the ground was shoddy. A Brighton fan tweeted 'how come my deodorant was confiscated but there were flares in the away end ' She had a point.

I was there and this needs some context, no one was just randomly having a pop at fellow fans. We were all held in after the game and there were loads outside and loads still in the concourse. After about 20 mins some of the lads inside must've had enough of waiting and started pushing forwards. They looked young and were dressed in black with scarfs over their faces so presumably were the Hf but I don't know them so cant confirm. They came right by me and one of the guys they bumped into next to me was, unfortunately for them, not young, build like a brick sh*t house and wasn't having it. No punches were thrown but there was a bit of argy bargy.

It all passed off without anything major and to say the HF were having pop at other fans is wrong. They pushed forward, someone told them to f**k off, bit of a stand off, nothing else.

PS. the big geezer would of killed them and for the record there were a number of other scarf clad lads telling the others to calm down and shut up.

Mate of ours also got locked out,had his ticket and was going to join us in the ground. He says the HF was the cause of the problems
He got herded back to Brighton, then a Palace fan ( more like a cnut really ) hit him thinking he was the Weed..

Heard a geezer at halftime ( not HF,well not in black ) boasting about how he and some of his mates got in without tickets, when they rushed the turnstiles.

We had our tickets checked against our season ticket

Were any flares or bangers set off during this time?

I came in late after coming down from derby. I got in just as the guys rushed and jumped over the turnstile. It was a bit mental and I was almost not allowed in with doors closed behind me. I'd have been fuming if I hadn't got in because of some t***s without tickets and lots of flares!

How do you know these are Palace fans?

I can't see why people would travel long distance without a ticket to just do this it doesn't make any sense train tickets are not cheap.

I find when stuff like this happens they really are not true Palace fans it's like protests you see you get the yobs that go there to just causes problems they have nothing to do with what it's really about.

Didn't get there till 10 minutes after kickoff due to work , had to collect tickets for me and my boy and was then told after 10 minutes of checks by the ticket man despite us being on the list and we both had ID that we probably wouldn't get in any way as the stadium was on lock down and it had been under siege, ignored the guy and still persued to south stand with our collected tickets where there was about 200 or so surrounded by police , most seemed to be HF but any drama had obviously passed as it was quite quiet other than normal stadium noise,, funny copper said no chance mate , I replied why , he said no more entries into the stadium , after a 90 mile trip from my sons house we weren't going to give up and go home, my son said dad there's AJ and I looked round to see him listening to me and the copper, he said basically f*** it I'm going home and walked back down to Falmer , station, so basically AJ couldn't get in, most had tickets and 90% were marched to the station with police horses pushing them along , a few walked around the stadium and escaped the police escort , it's a disgrace mismanaged by what looked to me like a very easy situation to deal with, one Brighton steward said "mate if it kicks off , run coz this hooded lot are very handy and the police are ready for them, s*** club, s*** fans , missed game but other than that a point and a clean sheet, time for the club to reimburse those of us that failed to gain entry
