But they are drilled and drilled in training to do what the management tell them. So while yes we can aportion some of the blame for the goal on Jules. You have to look at Dann as well who would have had it drilled into him to be ready to accept those balls all game and know what to do with them once he had accepted it. It was also not so much a goalkeeping era as a bad outfield pass. His goal keeping and shot saving were decent again yesterday with some lovely reflex saves. Edited by Brentmiester_General (20 Nov 2017 7.36am) You are so biased. If that was Hennessey you would be having a hissy fit.

Jules fault, simple. 46th minute, just knock it up the pitch and get in 2-1 up at half time. Dann should have done better but he shouldn’t have been put under that pressure.

Reminiscent of his debut for us, ironically against Everton Dann wouldn’t have expected him to put the ball up field. It was the game plan not to go long. So he should have been primed and ready for the ball during every minute the game was being played.

You are really tying yourself up in knots now. Ashley Williams called for the ball against the ROI and it was probably due to their game plan not too go long also. Yet you come on here and blame Hennessey 100%. First rule when you are in a hole - stop digging!

Jules and Dann both to blame but if Jules hadn't screwed up first then Dann wouldn't have screwed up second. Three seconds of madness considering the situation.

Dann should have stuck a knife in the ball and deflated it. Then given it to someone to bury.

No chance Painter. It was a mix up and Dann should have done better. Quit with you agenda against Jules pal. He’s in goal at least until Jan and beyond if we don’t manage to find a reasonable replacement. And he and the team are doing much better since the change in goal has taken place. Edited by Brentmiester_General (20 Nov 2017 7.37am) As I said before he should have retired and left us with memories. No his ego got the better of him, as seen by his show boating on Saturday.

Actually it was Zaha and Sakho returning from injury that changed us, nothing to do with the goalkeeper change.

If your answer to the Julian or Wayne question is arguing over whether one is better than the other or why this mistake was worse - your missing the key point. Neither of them should be our first choice goal keeper.
