It happens all the time, really good start and then nothing. Blackpool were great for ages and went down on the last day of the season when they got found out. However, they are looking solid and might do a Southampton, sticking with a bunch of players who got them up who turn out to be Prem quality. We can sell them Benteke and Andros next season perhaps :/ Why would we sell Benteke and Townsend to them unless you are inferring we are going down, which should we lose again today is a distinct possibility as we are increasingly cut adrift at the bottom

The 'weed haven't had a tough run of fixtures yet. Aside from us, they have Manure, Bin-dippers, Spuds, Chelski between now & Xmas along with Burnley and even Huddersfield. Outside the top 6 this division is becoming so close a single win can move you up several places and vice versa. It's all part of the excitement/terror.

You are saying we can't do it, in your original post you say that relegation is inevitable. As a previous poster says, make up your mind. Why post when you obviously don't know what you think, or are you just trying to get a reaction by posting cr@p. I fear it's the latter. Far too much of that this season without adding to it, unless of course, that's your intention. I meant we can beat Brighton, not stay up. We can definitely beat that lot, but that doesn't mean we can also be consistent enough to pick up enough points to stay up. I'm sorry, but after the start we've had, I really can't see where the next 36 points are going to come from Also, I have no intention of trying to start anything, nor am I a Brighton fan. I'm just stating my opinion, if you don't like it, don't listen. Edited by TheArmaniCode (05 Nov 2017 3.18pm)

After tomorrow we have a chance of going unbeaten to Christmas then lets see what the table looks like Are you serious? Though I hate to admit it The Amex is one of the best grounds I've ever been to (out of 40+). In an argument about stadiums we lose hands-down...

We've had a four year headstart and we're the ones who look like the newly promoted side. Even if we do somehow stay up, do you really think Parish and co will sort it out with their track record? No. Once Zaha leaves, that's it. We've already proven we can't cope without him. Our relegations inevitable, and with the TV money, a manager who's been there, seen it and done it in the Prem and a group of players that genuinely seem to care about what they're doing, I can't say the same for Brighton. We've been on top for about thirty odd years, but it looks like the tables are finally turning, and by the looks of things, it's gonna stay that way for a long time I'm absolutely dreading that trip to the Amex at the end of the month.

They are having a good first season like we did, and using Muzza to great effect. It's next season and beyond, and will we still be there to see it.
Taking the bungy jump since 1964. Never to see John Jackson in a shirt again Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013 |

Have watched Brighton on the box twice this season and they really are a poor side. The Premier League is at its weakest ever. Apart from the big 5 or 6 clubs the rest are pretty average. I might be biased but we are better than most when organised. Roy seems to be doing that and with a striker we will be even stronger and will finish above Brighton who i am confident will go down.

At this time, in our first season, we had four points and Holloway had thrown himself on his sword. They have 15 points, are eighth in the table, with a manager who's showing no signs of being unable to cope. Our second season was very much a repeat of the first and whether or not we'll "still be there to see" their second season is very much a matter of conjecture currently.

Agree with this. They have looked extremely average and they have some tough fixtures ahead. We on the other hand have already played both Manchester clubs away, spurs away, Liverpool away and Chelsea at home. Lots of average sides in the Prem this season (us included) Any 3 of about 10 are poor enough to be relegated.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
