We were at least scoring goals then and Pulis was available to save us; neither of those are available this time.

Actually we've scored three goals in three games including two whilst beating the champions. On top of which we've been creating chances. It's not all bad!

Personally I'd say we're playing mutch better football right now (bar the second half against BC) than we have in a long long time. Results will surely come.

But I just don't see us playing bad football right now and as such I'm pleased Roy's in charge as I shudder to think how we'd turn this around with Pardew in charge.

We might or might not beat West Ham but I'll be shocked if we don't turn up and give a good account of ourselves.

now, i know you seem to have an agenda against parish but you cant acuse him of doing that!

W.Ham must be favourites to secure all the points as they have that extra 'Firepower' which we are sorely lacking.

This might seem totally ridiculous but if (As expected) we lose then we really are staring at the Championship at this early stage of the season. This will be 9 defeats in 10 games and I really cannot see us recovering given the frailties and lack of depth in our squad and the fact that we cannot add to it for 2 months.Awful situation to be in and supporters of the dastardly 'Seagulls' must be in raptures.

We've scored two goals in nine PL games, both of which were in the same game and one of which was an o.g., whilst conceding 19. We have only one player with a PL goal to his name so far this season. It really doesn't get much worse than that, albeit it could well do by five o'clock this evening.

Yes we can look at the last nine games and be gloom or look at our recent PL form and see positivity. I know which I'll look at. Obviously I know which you'll look at.

Ignore the progress under Roy and wish that Pulis was available to save us. That's up to you. But personally I'm gonna be upbeat as the first XI actually have been playing well regardless of the obvious striker issues.

And yes Willio it's is likely we won't win today. But i still see many many winnerable games coming up.

I also envisage it getting worse before it gets better but looking at fixtures still to come and our fit first XI I truely do not expect us to be relegated. Still think there was more chance of that in all the other years than this year. Call me a fool, but the quality is there and we have the right type of manager for the job.

Obviously this is the wrong place to find fans that can see the progress being made. Let's face it all season we're gonna have to live with the start we've had, but be fair we should also look at recent results/commitment from our starting XI.

We scored 6 goals in the first 11 games before the Pullis effect and 3 of those were in one game !! The strikers we had were championship players even though very special to us. We didn’t have players like Wilf or Benteke to come back either. Come on be positive !

You must be the eternal optimist and I am not saying this as any form of criticism so please don't take it as this.In our situation I find it hard to find any "Winnable games" but maybe I am just an eternal pessimist !

But we cannot rely on the 'Pulis effect' of course and Benteke has hardly been impressive this season. It just shows our plight when we are heavily relying on a striker who has been distinctly average.

We beat Chealsa! That shows the desire and fight the team has. Palace aren't finished yet, we're gonna fight and we might not win today. But the quality we have will I hope start to shine through. I promise Wilo it will!

Nothing to worry about? Of course there is. If the lads don't show up or crumble under pressure then yeah we're going down. But I know the fight we'll start taking to teams like at Chelsea and at the end of last season. And we'll slowly pull ourselves out of this.

Just not sure we'll beat a resurgent West Ham today.

Not sure I would call 45 minutes of decent football out of the last 10 games resurgent. Believe me, they will be under as much pressure as we are to secure points and with that pressure comes doubts of their own. There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't win this match today.
