For instance, I seem to recall Pulis was not keen to re-sign Zaha when things were not working at Man Utd. Who did the deal - yes, Parish and look at the player he has become and his value. Yes, clearly there was a problem with the appt of De Boer but to his credit he acted quickly - he knew and saw the problems at first hand and not just the 4 game loss.If he insists on taking a strong position on the sharks that are Agents, and thoroughly checking out players characters, I think that is just sensible due diligence/cost management in the best interests of the club as you would expect from any CEO.He, not alone, but with very significant input has transformed CPFC from what he inherited in 2010. For me, more of the same would not be so bad. Getting behind him, Roy and the players in difficult times is far more appropriate than dishing out a lot of at best half truths - thank goodness he appears to have a fairly thick skin. Good post totally agree.

The long drawn out due diligence on Frank wasn't so good. Parish is willing to spend big on proven prem players but isn't on agents representing positions we're desperate in and we're desperate in and knew about for 8 months. If he's happy with that on 24th August and at 10.30pm on the 31st August with Dougie being around for 10 days to advise then we're in safe hands with nothing to worry about. Actually many were right after Chelsea. Benteke's a waste of space. We can manage without a striker.

The calamatous nature of transfer windows and the revolving door of managers shows that under his stewardship the club has like under Simon Jordan become a monumental mess albeit a richer one of the face of it. I think it is now clear that the God level of worship that Mr Parish gets is far from what is actual reality and that he is in the end a Brexit voting Barrow Boy from South East London who made a few quid up in the city back in the day. Nothing wrong with that but these people have their limits. Whilst he did form a consortium that saved us anybody who is in the world of business knows full well that businesses are not just miraculously saved at the 11th hour and that it was all a publicity stunt to get him and CPFC 2010 onside with the fans. His number is up and he has been found out. Whilst him stepping aside now will not actually help the club at all he does need to look at the long term vision and maybe bring in people who actually know what the hell they are doing on the football side of things. Huge shame all of this as we will probably be down there in the champ for 4-5 seasons before we come back up. Cheers Parish and your best mates Wrighty and Brighty. The three biggest bufoons in football. What exactly has Wrighty done?

We are in free fall and Stevie big b00locks it totally responsible, We are in a total mess that has started with our interfering chairman, And unfortunately has spread throughout the club. The guy totally undermines everyone in the club, And he need to pull his head out of his ass and take a back seat, whatever good he did for Palace is quickly being undone, His transfer dealings are abysmal and the wages average players are on is ridiculous

Yes Parish has made mistakes but overall he has done more good things than bad & we are now in our 5th season in the Prem which is a record for us! I agree with some of the criticisms of him but hindsight is a marvelous thing & some people on here are being over the top!It seems like they've only supported the club for 5 mins because in the 20 years i've been a fan we've never had it so good!Yes I was a fan when we finished 3rd in the old 1st division but we didn't last 5 years in the top flight & its alot harder staying up now than it was in the 90's. What we have achieved since Parish & Co bought us is nothing short of a miracle getting us promoted with kids, free transfers & cheap buys!I would never of thought in 2010 we would end up buying a £27m+ striker & a £26m defender in my lifetime! The board have invested alot of money on players & on paper we have an excellent 1st 11 when everybody is fit!I realise you don't win anything on paper but its not his fault if the team don't perform for whatever reason! I'm very unhappy with our current situation & fans putting all the blame on Parish is an easy option & personally I find unfair.I don't understand why we didn't buy a striker in the summer & why we couldn't retain Pullis or Fat Sam which in my eyes were big set backs but I don't know all the full details to put all the blame on him. I just wish all this moaning about the board would stop but for some so called fans they can't see the full picture! In my time as a fan no chairman we have had has come close to what the present board have achieved! Of course there's no need for a backup. We've just signed a marquee cb, just as we didn't need a left back after signing a striker. Everyone will catch on and realise where we've been going wrong all these years.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but how do you know these things. As for the wages, they are what they are. We are no different to anyone else in this department. All clubs have failed players on wages that actually stop you getting rid of them. Sadly the only way you find out they're flops is to buy them, pay them and wait and see.

His transfer dealings are abysmal? Who signed, Zaha, Andros, Luka, Sakho, Dann, Tomkins, Papa, Cabaye, McArthur, Benteke ? It's funny how we blame the chairman for all the bad signings and forget the good ones. Palace have a player playing in a World Cup final tomorrow, I guess thats another shocking abysmal signing he made. Sorry i forget we only talk about the bad signings right. But really who are the abysmal signings you refer to? or have i miss interpreted your post and its more to do with his dealing with agents that you find abysmal? We bemoan average players being on huge wages and then curse that we didn't sign someone who was holding us to ransom.

Then came Newcastle and not being able to score meant zero points instead of 3. Vs Chelsea it was a case of where everything aligned to deliver the 3 points. Hopefully West Ham are still shyte on Saturday and when he's back he instantly makes the difference.
