Roy's not a Lada by a long stretch. He's more of a Volvo. Good steady motor with a good reputation.

Pre-season and the opening four games against the likes of Huddersfield, Swansea and Burnley have shaped our season thus far. Not RH or the lack of back up striker. He's inherited a squad devoid of confidence, dare I say fitness, and already struggling with injuries. Also looking like a lack of depth of character in the players.

Our pre season was a disgrace, 4 games to get match fit was never enough. The players are only just starting to look fit in my opinion.

It's a shame for someone like Hodgson that the world is full of angry morons who have their opinions formed for them by tabloid journalism, and then repeat them on the internet. He didn't do that well for England, but he was hardly alone there - that job is clearly part of a greater malaise. I remember talking to an angry opinionated moron when Sven was in charge, saying I thought his record was decent - consecutive QF - considering England aren't actually that good. I got all the usual nonsense about golden generation etc. Sven was the last time we looked in any way decent. Incidentally it was the same tabloid journalism that gives you morons your opinions that, for no reason other than to grab some headlines, set up Sven and lost us a manager. Which they repeated with Allardyce - although the FA should have done better there I reckon. Anyway, I know you can't see how you're being manipulated but you are, big time. Roy has class, decency, and a strong CV with bags of experience. He's not the greatest manager, and he probably doesn't even have the right approach to get us firing, although it's still possible. I bet his return from the 30 games after Chelsea would be enough if extrapolated over 38 games. Apart from our lack of striker purchase, the biggest question Parish has to answer is why Hodgson wasn't recruited in the summer and FDB was.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

Our hopes are pinned on a turnaround in fortune AFTER the Chelsea game. We'll see what Roy can bring to the party then. No strength of character in what we've seen so far from our "fit" players just a string of inept performances with pathetic finishing. I hope this can be addressed?

It's not so much the Jag on the bench, as the Cortina sitting next to him, who never stops making noise. Driving me nuts, is Ray Lewington. If I were a player, I'd tell him to stop shouting and shut up. He doesn't help.
