Grenfell hasn't happened for nothing it is a monument to the tories corrupt selfish greed and will win the election for labour IMO.

Its good Jeremy is focused on what may happen if elected that's responsible.

Keep to the core issues especially housing and the NHS and don't get involved in rubbish about marxists nazis all that stuff as the public wants sensible reforms.

I think social reforms not international matters wars as we will have little influence.

Johnson and the tory press are ideal targets for labour just let them go on as they are.

When McDonell is war-gaming on sterling and a flight of investment, when even Labour are worried, the rest of us have cause to panic. It really is a terrifying prospect and the worst thing to befall all of us.

Disgraceful.

The very same cladding which caused the fire at Grenfell has been identified in tower blocks in dozens of Labour run councils.

And that Emma Dent Coad has been a member of the Kensington Tenant Management Organistaion which managed the council properties. She served in this organisation until 2014 during the period the refurbishment discussions were in progress.

Anyway the debate is veering away from Boris Johnson so let's keep it on track.

I don't think you are right those things are quite likely to happen to any government in uncertain times, be as prepared as you can.

We had all this when previous labour governments were elected but the threats never materialised.

Nowadays if there is a run on the pound we immediately hear how wonderful it is for the economy!

I think that is bonkers but there we are.

Really ? That's a Corbyn like riposte to the national ruin which would be the result of their policies. One cannot assert with any degree of confidence that any in-coming government would suffer the same consequences.

If Labour were to take office, foreign investors will ditch sterling like a hot brick with catastrophic consequences for our economy. With our nation heading into a new and uncertain world post Brexit, the sheer prospect of losing international confidence at such a crucial time is truly terrifying. It could mean we forfeit markets and investment for a generation.Things will be far worse than in the 70s when Labour was in power. In short, our whole economic future would be in peril.

Anyhow I have spouted enough about this - not going to get embroiled in a debate on the ills of Labour. Let's concentrate on Boris Johnson.

If you watched McDonnell's speech, you will see that's one of many scenarios that Labour are looking at. It's called contingency planning.

Wby aren't you voting Labour? Well they've got the wherewithal to plan for a range of hypothetical events. Useless w***ers, fancy planning for different possible eventualities.

So the answer, to avoid that new and uncertain post-brexit world, is surely to just not to proceed with it.

ps pick Delaney we will win straight away.

I'd guess that depends on his perceived success (or otherwise) with the EU negotiations
