Mistakes have been made. Bad ones. We know. But even so, to turn on Parish after what he’s done is poor.

I agree, what he's done recently is poor.

This is the moment when you find out who the real fans are.

It reminds me of an old saying about friendship: "a friend is someone who will stand beside you when they'd rather be anywhere else in the world".

I think about that a lot these days.

Were you there when we told TF not to buy Akinbiyi or were you telling people how to be better fans somewhere else.

Friends also tell you when you're being stupid or bringing it in yourself.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Is it that a real fan is one that doesn't criticize people like Steve Parish, Jordon Mutch or Fraizer Campbell?

Not wind the clock forward more than with Pardew after winding it back with Sam 6 months before and this unique style you speak of.

Have targets ready for players you've known needed filling for I don't know, months and months and months.

Not leave signings on critical areas you have 1 fit player in till the last day, not once, but twice, and that's after it's nearly relegated you before.

Not thinking Campbell is a suitable replacement.

Not spending pitiful amounts of £10mil net last year, only to then spend 4 times that in January we knew he had to in the summer.

Not extending Pardew's contract when it was evidently clear there were issues.

Sacking Pardew sooner. Much sooner.

Not being on Twitter, moaning about 16 year old keyboard warriors without any solutions or constructive criticism when there's plenty on hol or the BBS.

Not tweet unbelievable responses to us having one striker a week before the inevitable injury.

Yes, such a pity.

====================================================== All pretty accurate in my book, How people can't see what total Mess Parish has made over the past few years I will never know.

My question is, if we get relegated, what do we have to show for 5 years in the prem other than some fun memories? Baring in mind all the good players will leave.

Bigger and better ground? Better training ground? Better youth academy?

It seems like if we went down we wouldn't be much better infrastructure wise than when we went up (a few plastic seats and cladding aside). And it's the infrastructure that will lead to organic growth. For me, that's where Steve has failed a bit (although obviously agree his diabolical transfer windows haven't helped!). We've had americans come in nearly two years ago with aim of stadium improvements and still nothing. If we go down then there won't be any and that'll be that.

A hugely depleted bank balance for all season ticket holders and a hugely increased bank balance for those shareholders that cashed in to the Americans

Thats all very well, Rudi, but apart from distant sniping this is not adding to the solutions box. We need to look to a different future, as to remain as we are will only prolong our agonies, season after season.
Is that all we're offering those 'friends'who remain by our side? I'd like to think Palace will play youngsters and tell them to play with passion and as much skill as they possess. Another defeat? Put up the usual suspects then....another defeat, but still nothing learned. If Maunure fans honestly believe buying good foreigners is all its about, then we're all done for. England now Lower than Wales? Yes, that's the way Palace should go!

Whilst you are right about the infrastructure perhaps lacking concrete improvements my main concern about relegation would be our ability to get back into the PL. The squad would be dismantled as you say and that is not a good basis for a swift return. Newcastle and Burnley largely kept theirs together and were repromoted the next season. However presently we are still there and with every pundit righting us off expect the tide to turn. COYP !!

Yep. Parish himself said he was putting all the money toward the first team which was very short-sighted and definitely not in the interest of CPFC long-term. Could be decades before we get this opportunity again to waste £600mill to end up facing Millwall.

Best Chairman ever my arse!
