I am informed that Richard Scudamore,Chief Exec of the PL, is a Bristol C supporter.

Hasn't their ground been re-developed quite recently ?

John Pemberton was 'Caretaker' before Lee Johnson was appointed and then his 1st team coach but he has left the club.

Originally posted by Willo Do you mean Lee Johnson ? Gary Johnson is his Dad who is manager of Cheltenham.

Lee Johnson's uncle, Steve(Gary's brother) used to manage East Grinstead Town in the Sussex County League and I think also Redhill in the same league.

Gary of course Will-O-Am.

He was sent to the stands during the match, yet was 'allowed' back on the field before E.T. to give a team talk...

BUT...looking into it, it may well have been our very own Keith Millen sent to the stands that night, not Gary, although I could've sworn it was the fat sweaty cockney tw4t!

I must've been (I was totally) hammered that night, so that might've been the cause of the mix-up.

I can still hear the post being hit by Watson though.

I have family in Bristol with some leanings towards Rovers. They always imply that City fans are 'ruffians'.

Looks like a banana skin to me.

Don't they raise their game against us?

They've been lifting quotes from this thread on their main forum, mine included and said I was 15 or something... I was told they're obsessed, and that just proved it.

They also seem pretty sure they're gonna beat us, which they probably will to be fair. Oh well, my uni city, miss it a bunch and will enjoy being there again.

I'm not so sure that their confidence is well placed.

Hi, Bristol City fan here, looking forward to playing you guys, and you probably owe to be fair.

Had a look through the thread and good to see a decent amount of respect given to us.
Saw you talking about Bobby Reid and Diedhiou. BR was a midfielder from our academy who had never quite made the grade, good technique etc but something not clicking. Johnson moved him up front this season and he has been a revelation (currently top scorer in the league).
Diedhiou started slowly but has been great last couple of games, a big physical presence who puts himself about well.
However not sure either of them will start (depends on how much they have been playing in the build-up to the game), despite getting good results we have actually been resting most of our players for the cup games. We made 9 changes for the game against Stoke and have had 4 strikers score in the last two games.
We're hoping Roy (who actually started his UK managerial career with us) will prioritize the league and rest loads of players. If so we might just sneak through but you guys are obviously the favorites. (although if I was being cheeky I'd say we have actually beaten 2 more prem teams than you this season!). Anyway like I said you probably owe us for the sears goals playoffs etc. So good lck to you.

What's it like to have 4 strikers? We can only dream...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Bobby Reid moved up front, and apart from Diedhiou they have Matty Taylor, Cauley Woodrow on 'Loan' from Fulham and Gustav Engvall who they signed from IFK Gothenburg. Also a couple of other young players whose names escape me at the moment.

Not good to have all your eggs in one basket. Look at us - our reserve goalkeeper is equal top scorer in the league this season!
