Had to check it was a genuine account....bizarre comments. I guess he must have some bitterness towards the club surrounding his dismissal. Really disrespectful comment aimed at James MacArthur.
The old boy network around the club needs to change, can't blame parts.....give me a break, deluded john salako.

Salako is giving his opinion and some of what he's saying is backing what some have said on here for a long time. Not nice, but I'd rather hear him say it, as someone who's worked under SP than all the ITK bollocks we get on here. Right now we are a shambles, so anything JS says isn't really gonna matter one way or the other.

The person who claimed he was permanently injured, well he was, but he got the knee ligament damage in the era when it used to end your career. He even had a dead mans ligament grafted into his knee to try and repair it and had to learn to run a completely different way to compensate for his injury, so it's clear he was no quitter. He continued at a lower level for a good few years and all credit to him. Remember when it happened, he'd just been really impressive on an England tour to Australia, I think and his career looked set to take off. He's a local lad who still cares about his local club and if he wants to comment he sure as hell can.

What was disrespectful? He said Macca gives everything, but.......
Is he wrong? Is Macca good enough to start in our best midfield anymore? I agree with him. Ward, Punch, Macca, not cutting it anymore, they should be the back ups.
Salako isn't at the club anymore, so it's nothing to do with the old boys network.

Salako is a gobs***e that wants to keep his name in the media as there is no chance of him getting a coaching position ever again after his stint with Pardew at Palace.

He was happy enough to take the cash and ride the gravy train when offered to him, let's hope he's never welcome at the club again.

So freedom of speech is great unless you happen to be an ex Palace player whereupon it no longer applies and people should be muzzled

I do think that a dignified silence, with respect to an ex-employer, shows more class, but he's perfectly entitled to express his opinions if he wishes and there's nothing stopping anyone who wants to rebut them from doing so.

well said braun, i can't believe how entitled some of our fans have become its f***ing embarrassing. I think some of these guys gunning for Steves head are worse than Arsenal fans moaning about finishing 4th every season. We are CRYSTAL PALACE, not an Everton.

Sadly, I think you misunderstand the comments about SP, no one is gunning for him or forgetting that he did organise a group of investors to save the club at it darkest hour in 2010. However that is in the past and we have to move on and grow as a Club, frankly since we have been back in PL this time, we have made little or no progress and have gone backwards, Cup finals, are great if you get to one but not so great if your one of the teams that follow that success with relegation the following season for example, West Ham, Wigan and Hull, all come to mind. What people are saying is the SP has lost his way and in all probability is out of his depth as far as running a PL football club are concerned, this is evidenced by an inability to make decision correctly, again as an example, he has allowed injury prone players to come in at great cost to the club, Sako, Tomkin & Wickham who all spend more time in the treatment room rather than playing football, don't forget they still draw their wages even if they are not playing. Then there is the 8 Managers that we have had in that time, this brings uncertainty, inconsistency and a lack of confidence throughout the first team squad. Then there is that dismal home record 26 wins from 79 home PL games. The one common dominator in all of this is that it has happened on SP watch. Now if he were to do a bit of self analysis, he would soon see that whilst he may be good in business in other area's as far as Chairman of PL Club is concerned he is falling well short of expectation and if he really cares about the club he should say so and arrange to get someone better in to do the job instead of keep taking his £650K PA salary and blaming others. the twitter post are probably correct!

Salako isn't at the club anymore, so it's nothing to do with the old boys network.

In central midfield, the only choices are Milivojevic, Cabaye, Puncheon, Loftus-Creek and McArthur. And Cabaye,Puncheon,McArthur are all in their 30s and don't give us that energy we require.

We'll get six points out of the next three games, mark my words.

Then Salako can go back to trying to suck himself off.

No I'll tell you what the problem is it's football today especially the English league, all about money, full of managers that can't coach and just want to spend spend spend, average players that demand huge wages, clubs that demand huge fees for average players, owners that couldn't care less about football and are more interested in what Chinese company they can get on our shirt. Yeah our league is highly competitive but still made up largely of mercenaries here for the money.

Then mugs like us go and spend well over the odds weekly to watch them, while we and the media treat them like they're gods

It's never going to go back to how it was but when you compare our league to Germany, I would take the German model any day of the week.
