Yes they have to unlearn what they learned under Sam and unlearn what they didn’t learn under FdB so they can learn again what they learned under Sam which is roughly what they’ll be learning under RH – if they can learn.

I think either will/would have done OK in their first season. The point is Hodgson should not be getting this opportunity because FdB should have been given much more time.
We probably would have won yesterday if FdB were still in charge as the signs at Burnley were we were very close to turning the corner. Now he's gone and RH comes in its rip up all the plans and start again. Square one.
This is why we'll go down if we end up doing so. Because Parish is a coward

We are now in our fifth year in the Premiership and we should be up there with the like's of WBA, Southampton, Stoke, but we are not, every year its a relegation fight. The harsh reality is that we come up to quick with very little in the foundations. We do not have the infrastructure in the club to move forward and I believe that why manager's are coming and going and the reason why Sam left. We hardly have any scouting, our training ground needs updating as with the ground, and that all takes time.

You make some good points. I think all of us would have hoped that by now, entering our 5th season in the top division, we would have found some stability and would not be embarking on yet another desperate fight to stave off relegation again.

Each season we have escaped the drop has given us another opportunity to build and progress but for various reasons, some avoidable others not so, we seem to end up back at square one. The position we are now in is pretty well identical to the one we were in 4 years ago during Holloway's short stay with us in our first season back in the Premier League.

I thought you were harsh on FDB, but you ultimately were proved right.
I find this blaming of Parish and the board difficult to understand, they employ people to do a job, who on past record should be able to achieve this. Then Parish and Co get let down by the entire coaching team and players, how on earth is it their fault, they have purchased players in every window.
The board have become a victim of their own success, let down by supposed football professionals.

Managing Ajax does not make you qualified or able to manage us, especially in our condition. In addition to actual managing of the team there's more input, effort and opinion needed on transfers, which he hadn't done before, and in some cases it sounds like he didn't do here, but Parish was on yachts, water boarding and singing in karaoke. All on social media. That'll be our memory of this summer. Steve having a smashing time, not around face to face with Frank. But I suppose when you prefer to sign most of them on 31st August I can see why he was away the whole time.

Big errors.

Isn't Steve entitled to a summer break and some relaxation from the rigours of running a football club 24/7 ?

Doesn't mean he wasn't conducting some business from abroad nor that he cannot fit a holiday into his busy schedule. And it wasn't him who put the pictures on social media.

I'm not here to defend Steve. He is erudite enough to defend himself.

Have you not heard about mobile phones, you can be contactable 24 hrs a day.
You seem to think Parish is responsible for everything, his mistake was making himself a public figure, which I think he did with good intentions.
He had Tim Coe and Phil Alexander doing the ground work, he just needs to make the final decision.
I doubt if many Premier club supporters know what their Chairman looks like, let alone follow him on Twitter.

It's our scouting and recruitment that needs to be brought up to Premier League standard PDQ - and that includes recruitment of managers.

Perhaps Parish should have pursued his TV ambitions with the 'Dragons'and delegated his football duties to someone competent!!

I'm not entirely sure that it was an ambition of his to appear on the programme.

precisely, why don't we let the chairmen who got us to the prem, and kept us in it for 5 years get on with his job and we just simply support the team like fans are supposed to do...
