So did I but it was covering. Not sure if I can play with Mstrobez if he's going to pass the ball directly back to me first time, every time and regardless if he's unmarked, in the name of possession and dominance. Plus I think he's suffering emotional trauma from Frank leaving. P.S - Willo's lost his pace (maker). Could borrow Roy's.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I think it could be a good day but not getting carried away. Memories of Sunderland. This time I think we'll actually get the new manager "bounce" and it's the three games after that which will be a bit of a disappointment.

Ward--TFM--Dann--Schlupp Luka--RLC (if fit) Townsend--Cabaye--McArthur Bentenke To use a cliche, I think we need to run before we can walk. A solid 4-5-1 formation with Townsend, Cabaye and McArthur having the cover to be able to push forward at every opportunity. Obviously if Sakho and/or Zaha were fit I would play them. McArthur seems to be finding form again so it would be a shame to drop him. My guess is Puncheon will still start, probably instead of RLC. I'm going for a 2-1 win, but I wouldn't be surprised by any result.

I'd be surprised if first game in, RH drops Punch from the off.

After a shocking last 18 months so and a frankly (see what I did there) comical start this time, it would just be nice to wander back to Norwood Junction thinking we'd played well and deserved a result (whatever it is) with some hope for the rest of the season, rather than just join a Lowryesque head shaking march that we seem to be very used to. We have Roy (not allowed to say Woy apparently for offending the gender neutral tree hugger 'lets look for offence when none was meant' crowd) and he may be a decent fit for us..good luck to him and please, please can we be as excited about the team mid way through the game as we mostly are at the start. Roll on 12.30 tomorrow.

Roll on 12.30 tomorrow. Love the imagery! I have a ritual that I can't walk down the Holmesdale Road after a game without shouting "EEEEAGLES". I did it after Huddersfield and a few people looked like they wanted to punch me for being sarcastic. FYI: if any of you see a weird little fella on the Holmesdale Road yelling "EEEAGLES" after a crap display then it's just a ritual of mine ok?!

I hope tomorrow's performance doesn't prompt a mass Exodus, you Mark my words (etc etc)

Seriously though, before kick-off, my prediction for the first 8 games was 9 points. I reckoned 2 x home wins and 3 draws (home or away). And I thought I was being realistic! So I think I'll leave the predictions to others. Edited by YT (15 Sep 2017 4.43pm)
