I believe that under Hodgson we will be defensively well organised, indeed organised as a team.

But what a start for him - Man C, Man Utd, and Chelsea in his first 4 games !

No mate maybe that's just you. I won't be crying for him to be sacked . I think we should stick with him no matter what . A bit of stability wouldn't go astray .

Danny Murphy is very complimentary about Roy and says that training is all about shape, so everyone knows what to do and where to be at any given time. So the same as Sam and Pulis. A sound if unspectacular philosophy, but knowing what to do when you haven't got the ball is what wins points for people like Sam and Pulis. Training won't be fun, but these players don't really deserve fun at this moment, IMO.

Looking forward to narrowly avoiding relegation, snap resignation, England tanking in Russia and Southgate for 2018-19.

If we're on the ex-England manager train, let's just go mental and get Sven

He's one of our own. He's one of our own. Roy Hodgson. He's one of our own.

Under the circumstances, it's probably the best appointment we could have done quickly. Good luck to Roy and us.

He's saying all the right things! As I am 3 years older than him and feel quite fit enough to manage Palace how much someone like him with all his experience?

Welcome Roy,

There are plenty of jokes but we have an experienced, successful and still hungry Palace fan as manager!

Needs our backing surely, national team has been a joke since I've known it (still relatively young) so that's easily forgotten!

COYP!! &Come on Roy!!!!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
