I'm not going to get drawn into specifics but at the end of the day no manager gets shown the door after 4 games on results alone. They were weighing up their options before a result had even been registered.

Perhaps the truth is that Parish wanted FdB and the Americans wanted Dyche. After all Parish appointed Burley (for "flowing football", had the argument with Freedman when the football was not attacking enough, appointed Pardew for a more attacking style.

The Yanks know nothing about football, they are purely here for financial gain, like most foreign investors.

Oh get real! Conspiracy claims now. What possible benefit could Parish get from being relegated which is where we are heading. Four games in forget the loses but no goals scored against 3 teams we would be looking to seriously compete with. Now 3 games looming we will struggle to get anything from. Potentially 0 points from 8 games, that's relegation stuff and only 1 striker in the 24 uck!!!

Really pleased he's gone. Didn't really like the appointment but was encouraged by his initial noises about evolution and results over style. Concerns grew after we created so few chances in the games in Hong Kong and the Huddersfield game made it clear he was trying to prove something and had talked his way into the job under false pretences. FFS two nineteen year olds at centre back. I don't think one fan or pundit being asked to pick our team yesterday would have started Lee.

There are always 2 sides to every story, and when it comes to football I would not believe either! The whole sport is corrupt to the core so take any news with a pinch of salt! I think 2 things have come from this : 1) Parish will not employ another foreign manager for many years 2) Parish needs to remember he is the chairman and let the manager deal with footballing matters as this is not the first time we have read about his constant interfering. That's it, I am fed up and tired of this...even Brighton are laughing at us now!!
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

If true that the likes of Delaney, Kelly, Lee and Ward have played some part in this then it's even worse because frankly 3 of them shouldn't even be at the club anymore. What a sorry mess. I agree this happens at every club. Out of favour players don't like the new manager. But it's the Joel Ward one which could have been the one the players didn't take well to. He's played every game for ages, decides he's not up to wing back, which is true, but the squad isn't up to 3-4-3. So a popular person gets scrapped and treated badly for no good reason. Similarities with Kelly being isolated and allegedly made to train with the youngsters.

It's being on the left which was wrong IMO.

A lot of people want black and white on whether it's Parish's fault or De Boer's fault but I think the Lee starting against Burnley situation proves there are definitely shades of grey. Should FDB have started Lee? No probably not. Should he be in a position where he's so light on players that he can even consider Lee? Definitely not! The reason Big Sam struggled despite being clearly a great manager and a great fit was because you can only do so much with the squad we have and Parish must know this by now. I actually do think a new 'safe-hands' manager is the correct approach. I think they'll play 4-5-1, keep things tight, keep things simple. That bit was down to De Boer changing too much too quickly. But if Benteke gets injured, whether it's Hodgson, Allardyce or Mourinho, we don't have anyone to play as striker and score us goals. We don't even have a Frazier Campbell to play as striker and NOT score us goals. Lee has always given his all and is clearly not good enough. FDB had Zaha out and a choice of Lee or kids. He went with Lee and he made a massive cock-up. But again, Lee should never have been an option to begin with if the board invested properly.

Agree with most of this, but there was an option other than Lee. Surely the better option would have been to play van Aanholt at LB with Schlupp on the left of midfield. Lee didn't just make one awful mistake, he looked out of his depth.
