Show some ambition, perhaps too much, by employing someone who is going to change the system and infrastructure drastically, taking ages to actually get him in, and then give him only four games. Only the very best teams with the money for world class players and the best managers will be able to play attractive football or change their style up. Parish may have had a great deal of pressure from investors and the yanks, but he's been a right tosser here if he's made the call.

Palace have sacked De Boer. How embarrassing is that from our chairman. I normally have a lot of time for Steve Parish but how can you employ an individual, knowing full well his philosophy and playing style, and ask him to change the way our team plays to his style, and then sack him 4 games into the season. The Palace board should hang their heads in shame.

I have to agree here. We played well on Sunday, was expecting at least another couple of games to see how we went.

Surely this indicates that there must be some element of truth to the other rumours around his management style etc.? Would have thought after the improved performance SP might have held off but maybe I'm giving him too much credit or the situation really was as dire as is being made out...
