Wrong, it is FDB's fault. He picked both Lee and Puncheon. Luka should played ahead of Puncheon and the new kid could have played ahead of Lee, or even Van Anholt at LB and Schlupp on the wing. Lee played well in the 2nd half v Swansea. Lots of people said it, me included. The team Frank picked today was exactly the team I posted on the line up thread except I had Luka instead of puncheon, but I think Luka not playing had something to do with the 2 games for Serbia. It is not Frank's fault Lee made that c0ck up. It is not Frank's fault Kelly made those 2 c0ck in pa v Swansea. It was Frank's fault he played 3-5-? in the first half v Swansea. Frank should've got points when they were within reach. Now he's got himself in bother with the top 3 coming up but the team are playing better but not full strength. If we had 4-5 points none of these conversations would be happening.

If anybody has read Cryuff's book they may change their mind about FDB. His inflexible nature may cost him, it's a regular trait of relegated teams( and managers) that they don't use their assest(players) in the right positions that they are comfortable in , especially where the balance of the team is concerned. We could mean forever about having no back up striker, but the squad we have could cover that if the team was set up well. Big Sam proved that balancing a team is important, and our squad now is improved from what he had. If we played TFM-Dann-Sakho-Schlupp as back four, with Luka and Jairo holding , that would allow Wilf , Andros and RLC or Cabaye to do their best, supporting Benteke. There are a lot of so called bottom half teams that would love all that talent. How could he use them today, they were either injured of not match fit. They all would of been playing if available!

I can forgive Schlupp, playing at left back, skying his one chance. I can't forgive no real options to change the dynamics up front during the game. Except telling a frigging centre back to hang around their six yard box! Surely that is Parish's fault not FDB's.

I agree with you Willo, but despite the constant clamour it would be pointless (sorry!) to change manager now unless we want to be absolutely certain of no points after 8 games. The end of October, by which time we should have got something against Newcastle and Wet Spam at least, would be my guess as make or break time. Originally posted by Willo

I do not want frank sacked, but when you say that lees back pass has nothing to do with the manager, i agree the quality wasnt his fault, but he encourages the team to pass back, many times in the Burnley game there were dodgy back passes, there have been other games this year with dodgy passes across the danger area, to a goalkeeper known for his dodgy kicking, so in a way the manager is responsible, when i played, ok a long time ago, a ball across the danger area was only accepted if no other option is available, Wow, that really is clutching at straws! Next you'll be saying that we're not scoring because he encourages passing backwards all the time.
