No smoke without fire, something obviously ain't right, parish might aswell stick his hands up now say it's not working for either party, he got it wrong and get it sorted before the damage is irreversible. Regardless of the Burnley game what's the point having a manager you can't work with. He thought he could save money the moment he heard say 'youth'. Now he's stuck in save reputation mode/cost me in compo mode.

But you wouldn't sack someone just because of three results, so there must be more to it. For instance he's experimenting when he's been told to win matches; he's lost the dressing room; or he's just being a bellend and pi**ing everyone off. We'll be waiting to see what happens v Burnley and maybe Southampton. Actually the rest of the season. If you have 11 players available to win a match and he's going to pick 11 unable to win then there's only going to be 1 outcome. We'll find out. I just want us to achieve.

As is the case with most rumours and inside information, people always want a source named. Either that, or it's just somethink someone made up. At this stage of discussions about the management at CPFC, I have some slight indifference, mixed with boredom. And that also sums up the way I feel about on-pitch activities. Is Peter Taylor still in charge ? I recall starting a book club in the Lower Homesdale on matchdays during his stint. I feel after Pardew over-stayed his welcome by a significant margin, a lot of people have itchy trigger-fingers. (Not just Trump and Kim Jong-un) I bet SJ is pishing himself
I disengage, I turn the page. |

I doubt Jordan is p1ssing himself but he'll take some comfort in knowing that he's more likely to be right on de Boer than parish was. I'm more right than parish was and I can assure you I'm not p1ssing myself but very concerned. The 2 main doubt raisers on here, myself and Bexleydave, muted because we didn't believe enough. So that means nearly everyone on here was wrong as well. Now we need to see if he's neither a stubborn fool or a shyte manager at this level and give him a couple of games maybe for proof. Something nobody was willing to consider a few months back.

Who knows probably more than likely and freedman looks like the cheap answer, can't see any other reason why we would employ him other than to potentially replace or parish is just a little fanboy. let's face it both will have massive egos and will continue to butt heads, act now or see our season become a complete shambles and loose premier league status and money. We're looking more and more likely to become the next Sunderland who do just enough every year, replacing managers constantly, untill the inevitable happens. At the moment Watford, Bournemouth and Burnley all look far more promising than us.

Yes Watford have the manager I said we should've gone for, starting with parish flying back and delaying his first of 7 holidays. Burnley have Dyche. Another manager we should've taken seriously. Both with prem experience, precisely what parish was after. No, we go for someone who might save us money or play youngsters in X years time. Well he won't be here then anyway. Tge answer there was a cat a academy and aggressive recruiting with plenty of scouts. It's all &Arsenal about face decided by someone who's now out of his depth and should hand football matters on. For now we'll have to sit tight in front of sky v Burnley and possibly Southampton at home.

I can believe the OP, to much smoke for there to be no fire. De Boer was a wrong move simple as. As for the 4 years and then posts. I imagine there are loads of people who are members but just read rather than get abused for posting.

At the moment Watford, Bournemouth and Burnley all look far more promising than us. You can add to that list Newcastle and Huddersfield, even the weed have got a point. Something is wrong and has been for sometime at boardroom level, we constantly start the season with gaps in the squad, and obvious positions not filled with premiership quality. In 5 seasons in the prem we've had 5 managers, if we lose to Burnley my guess is it will be six. It's not so much the 4 games and no points that is the problem for me, it's the lack of goals, and the way we have been beaten at a canter by Swansea and Huddersfield at home. If we lose to Burnley I think he'll be gone by Monday evening. But the main gist of what I'm saying is 5 managers in 5 seasons, and that reeks to me of naivety, and piss poor leadership from the boardroom.

I just hope that FdB is sensible/flexible enough to recognise that, whatever he hopes to achieve long-term, he needs to pick a team and tactics to get results right now. If he's not prepared to do that to save his job/reputation then he's a bloody fool. We won't need another manager if the current one accepts what he needs to do, so let's just hope that he does it, starting Sunday.
