If SP really sounded off in public along those lines ( which I don't believe ) the he is not fit to be in the position he is in.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Can't remember exactly what he said but sure aswell as his price he wasn't keen on his age and fitting into our system and preferred younger cheaper options. Even if it's just down to the price it still seems to me the board going over his head. Parish has already done this before with pulis and zaha. As much as I like parish, you leave footballing decisions to the manager. I agree and have thought the exact same as you. I think it's probably a case of Frank not minding Sakho at the right price but reluctant to spend such a large % of the budget on him. This "crisis meeting" coincided with frank "clinging on" and us all of a sudden being seriously back in for Sakho. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is a matter they've had words about. I do agree if we hire Frank, regardless of what anyone thinks of him - he should be given the backing by Parish to bring in his own signings or it's a little hollow to then complain the team isn't playing good enough when he essentially inherited it by a manager with universally different tactics in Big Sam - who, whilst did a cracking job, spent over 25 mil on Schlupp and Van Aanholt. That's not to say it was wrong, needs must etc. but it was a long way from good business imo. Having said all of that, there's also a good chance Parish has become frustrated at the indecisiveness of Frank regarding transfer targets and I wouldn't be surprised if we genuinely were very close to Wimmer and Martins Indi (I would've been very pleased with either). Seriously, you hope it is true that the manager is a total dick and the chairman hates him? That would be great for the club. Yes I hope it's true coz he is a s***e manager and needs to be sacked. It would be great for the club if we cut the cancer out now.

True or not I think we can all agree something is wrong behind the scenes. FdB appears to be on borrowed time and I really believe that right now we want to be in position to be the first ones to get to Sam when he gets bored. If we lose patience with FdB in next couple of weeks I can see Hodgson coming in to be this seasons Warnock.

All speculation I know, but the complete silence from Palace can only mean that the rift with the manager is fact. Since when have Palace confirmed any rumours about anything

We spent £50 mil net last season. £40 mil is the average. We've spent about £6 mil after Mandanda leaving and Riedewald coming in. We probably have £25 mil net left. We need to sell to be able to spend more. Now or January. Our revenue is about 14th. Our wages are 9th, allegedly. Unless the yanks want to sponsor the jumbotron then the FFP amount we can spend without a fine doesn't change.

Firstly, if someone was that close to Parish to get that sort of info, they wouldn't then put it straight in the public domain as it's a massive betrayal or trust and friendship. Secondly, if the Yanks' longterm plan depends on us staying in the Prem, then they need to get their wallets out and ensure we invest in the first team to keep us in the Prem.

If the wage thing is true that is worrying as we will be unable to move people on if their wages are too high.
