If SP really sounded off in public along those lines ( which I don't believe ) the he is not fit to be in the position he is in. Speculative rubbish Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

We spent £50 mil net last season. £40 mil is the average. We've spent about £6 mil after Mandanda leaving and Riedewald coming in. We probably have £25 mil net left. We need to sell to be able to spend more. Now or January. Our revenue is about 14th. Our wages are 9th, allegedly. Unless the yanks want to sponsor the jumbotron then the FFP amount we can spend without a fine doesn't change. COYP

We've spent about £6 mil after Mandanda leaving and Riedewald coming in.

We probably have £25 mil net left. We need to sell to be able to spend more. Now or January.

Our revenue is about 14th. Our wages are 9th, allegedly.

Unless the yanks want to sponsor the jumbotron then the FFP amount we can spend without a fine doesn't change.

This is one of the problems possibly. Spending it all on one player. If the wage thing is true that is worrying as we will be unable to move people on if their wages are too high.
