It would be a surprise to me if he was signed for reasons which I won't go into. A Sakho who hasn't played at all this season and whose last appearance before injury was back in April. So you expect Sakho to come straight in to the side to cure all our ills ? Go on Willo spill the beans for once.

Was it in the Sainsbury's one ? If so, surprised David Nugent didn't intervene. Your 2nd point is interesting. That is one of the major reasons that a large shift in our playing system is very risky. We just do not have 6 or more games to throw away at any time of the season, whether at the front or back end. Sounds like FdB is being pulled back. Let's see if he has the balls just as much as he felt the players lacked on Sat. COYP !! we threw away a lot more than that last season and did ok in the end.

It all depends on whether he wants to learn and listen. We all know he favours the 3-4-3 system, but it's clearly apparent (and to us supporters apparent before the season started) that we clearly don't have the players for this system (yet). If he learnt this, and takes on board what others must surely be saying, then he needs to revert to a back 4 with Luka shielding them in front. Any changes to a 3-4-3 must come gradually over time. You can't just change a system like that in the premier league, unless you have top quality players. If he still refuses to adapt, then he is lost cause and we will be shortly after that.

Dean Saunders talking about Frank speaking to parish and listing a load of players who aren't good enough for what he wants to do. We can offload 1 or 2 of them and raise £100 million and get in better and what he needs. Anyone spot the difficulty here?

No I said he would inspire a lot. What I meant by that was we seemed to gain confidence after signing him last year so may pick the team up but more for myself if not others that problems are being taken seriously and we are addressing them, Martin Kelly, uninspiring Reidewald and under par Dann and Tomkins at the back.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

And as I've also said before the vast majority of the media speculation is nonsense. This has all spread from a poor perspective of our new fans who think we are better than we actually are. From my point of view FDB has done one thing wrong since he's come to the club and that's making JP captain. I can only assume FDB has bought into the 'he's one of our own mentality' and got that wrong but is that his fault? Not yet in my opinion. Apart from that, thus far he's not done a lot wrong. He's spoken very well of the club and of the fans and I believe he wants us to like him and 'us' as a club has not reciprocated that. Who are we to judge Reidweld) after one game, 1. People saying he's no good and 2.'oh let's try him in midfield'. It's bollocks. I'm fed up with reading stuff about who should play where and 'what if we do this? for example. Good points. Agree about Puncheon. Should of been dropped last season in Pards era. If Sakho arrives I would make him captain as soon as he walks in the door. Also correct not to right off a player after 1 game or laud them. Didn't the likes of Murray, Wilf, Yannick all struggle a little early on and what about Freddie Sear's being the next big thing in the PL when he made his debut for the Spammers ?
