Sold a legend and completely disrespected him in the process because Pardew couldn't bare the fact that Jedi was 4 times the player he ever was and was loved by the fans and the dressing room as a leader far more than he was. We replaced him with who? Flamini? Ledley? Those were our CDM options for the next 6 months and if you are telling me we needed 4 million that badly, I call bullsh*t. It was because of Pards ego that we shipped him and we were a worse team for it. For me he was the sort of player and leader that could slowly fade out of the starting 11 and move in to a role behind the scenes. He didn't want to leave and it's pretty obvious from the way he talks about Palace that he would have stayed. No one is suggesting he was still the first name on the team sheet, but it was so short sighted the way he was managed out of the club and confirmed APs complete lack of bottle. A true warrior who totally got the ethos of the club. What a penalty taker as well. I hope to see him back in some capacity one day.

I think we will have to agree to disagree on large segments of this post.

The facts are that we were headless chickens sprinting towards relegation after he left. Sam Allardyce came in and saw straight away that we had absolutely zero backbone and saved our season with not much time to spare. How is that doing ok in your book? And he was very badly treated by an absolutely c*** if a man.

The problem is not that Jedinak was sold, the problem was that Einstein didn't replace him because he didn't understand what he brought to the team, particularly in his personal qualities as distinct from his technical skills. When Sam arrived he said "we need one of those" and signed Milivojevic.
