Shouldn't they be funded by the Labour, Liberal and Green parties, Muslim Council of Britain, Stonewall, EU Remainers, anti-Trump groups and other 'community' organisations?

No where near as bad, if you ask me, but then why do I get paid more than a nurse, its all to do with supply and demand and the BBC is probably a bit risk shy after s**ting the bed with the replacement of Top Gear.

Maybe the problem of the BBC is not using more presenters, and instead relying on the 'image of celebrities' to sell product, rather than the quality of the product.

I means seriously, how is Phillip Schofield commanding a top wage, when his star was eclipsed by a f**king glove puppet (at his height of celebrity).

Now he is being eclipsed by Holly's bosoms.

I had no point, I just hadn't said anything about bosoms today.

I take your point, they might as well be.

Everyone I know who votes conservative seems to be a big fan of Radio 4.

You know people who vote Conservative! Is that allowed? But surely whatever they tell you, you regard it as Tory lies?

I see a letter has been written and signed by female presenters complaining about their pay.....they want a pay rise.

BBC presenters and selected staff are paid far too much as it is. The BBC is paid for by the public. In an era of one percent in the public sector and pay cuts in others, rather than giving female presenters a pay rise perhaps they should be reducing male presenter's pay down.

Any thoughts.....Does market forces mean anything?

Can you imagine if this happened in football?

The BBC works out at good value if you are using it often.

It depends how much your time is worth, getting programmes interrupted by adverts.

I would say having one TV programme slowed down by adverts burns 40 pence of my time. You may be cheaper...

Not really, I can't imagine women playing football.

Existentially about 10-15 minutes of my life every hour, plus of course however much I spend due to adverts I'm influenced by during that hour.

I don't think you have to use it that often either - Sky and Virgin cost a lot more a year, about 8-9 times more - with little in the way of original programming, much lower quality and diversity (in terms of demographic appeal than the BBC) with none of the Radio coverage either.

That said, if people want to opt out and receive absolutely no BBC content, then they should be able to and if they do so illegally, then they should be held accountable for that as well.

The BBC has a charter that caters to as wider audience as possible, in a way that subscription TV services and advert revenue TV never can.

Doing pretty well at the moment. My problem is when I imagine women playing football, they're on a muddy wet pitch, in body paint.

That's said I can't imagine the England team playing football either.

I don't have an issue with people, its with politicians, I wouldn't trust them to tell me the time of day even if I had a watch to verify it.

Problem of the modern age is we think that other people can be trusted to look out for our best interests.

That applies equally to Labour and the Lib Dems.

In truth, you're really voting for who will use lub when they rape you.
