Parish is a shrewd operator, preferring to do his business in private.

Look at that West Ham idiot Sullivan saying they desperately need strikers to the media, so automatically clubs will increase their price now.

Do you know whats going on behind closed doors on transfers? All we can see is what is actually happening - not a single transfer done as we took 2 weeks too long to get a new manager hired. Same old story, late transfers (after late manager hire) from dithering steve and players arriving right before the season starts, not having a proper pre season with the lads.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Indeed - but one doesn't know the reasons.

As Willo would say complete Hogwash.
Just not true.
Steve has now recruited his Manager.
Last summer Tomkins,Mandela,Townsend were all signed early.
Christian arrived late.

The club have learned there lessons and do not want to sign players for the sake of it, Holloway first window,Chungy,Mutch with Pardew.

Patience as we await our fifth season in the top Flight.

History for our little old club.

I think we should get Nelson some serious smelling salts and play him in goal.

We didn't learn our lesson last summer though did we?

Jedi and midfielder debacle. Left back debacle.

Obvious problems and we get Flamini after procrastinating and nobody at left back, completely chancing it. Souare could've been out with a serious injury. Sakho was.

Parchmore please take a reality check....
Would you have wanted a decision to have been taken on the new manager with speed taking priority over quality and importantly the right person for CPFC. The wrong choice would have been disastrous in terms of having to get a new man on board 'into the season'.

De Boer has been in the job for 2 weeks and has to take stock of what we have got then what we need. No doubt he started this exercise perhaps a little earlier but still it has been little time.

I would far prefer to have a cautious Chairman than one that makes decisions just for the headlines and to please fans. There are exciting times ahead but patience has to be respected

I concur with these sentiments.

I'm all for comprehensive due-diligence and detailed assessments before key decisions are made.

Patience is a virtue !

Jedi was losing his first team place at the time.
Flamini in hindsight was an error.
Souare "Car Crash" was a serious injury.Pardews Fault.!!!!!
Losing three Centre Backs is a rarity.

Of course the idea is to get two good players for every position.
It takes time.
Steady improvement is needed on and off the pitch.

Which is actually happening, but still the Holers moan.

Another thing is that this preseason we have some serious friendlies against strong opposition which should see us hit the ground running before Huddersfield. We have Schalke, Metz, Liverpool, West Brom and Leicester(?) which will give FdB much more info about players than friendlies with the likes of Margate etc ever would.

Haven't bothered to read what is bound to be a negative and moaning thread, no doubt about how we've failed to sign every bit of nonsensical twitter gossip. But the title of the thread is referring to 'Parish's Way' so here hoping somebody on the thread has bitten and pointed out how Parish's Way has taken us to where we are now so can't at all be bad can it.
