Chambers is very comfortable on the ball and if FDB wants the side to play out from the back this will suit the player.

Chambers has played at left-back so perhaps would be suited to playing on the left side of a back three.Martins Indi is left-footed and has also played at left-back.

I think that the plan if chambers get caught out wide he's previous experience of playing there at right back will help him cope, likewise martins indi played at lb for holland u21s .

Yes, this is basically what I was asserting.
Dann doesn't want to be caught out wide one-on-one with an attacker.

I would say Tomkins likewise willo, it makes sense if that the decided formation of 3-4-3, that these seem sensible targets. What would think of Kelly rcb ?

Centre-half is his preferred postion but I assume this is in a "Two". Don't know if he feels comfortable playing wide in a "Three".To me he looks uncomfortable playing full-back.

It's getting concerning now, no permanent signings and 3 weeks until we play Huddersfield on Saturday. If we persist with this new system and parish & the board start backing de Boer.

Would never ever pay 20m for chambers his played 36 premier league games for arsenal in 3 years he ain't worth 20million Would rather have Martin's indi for 13million if SP pays 20million he needs locking away

Bashy I think we're likely trying to sign both one rcb and one Lcb.

If Everton come in for Martins Indi as has been talked about and he chooses them not us and we don't make a better bid for chambers.

Well we're kinda stuffed.

But maybe if we can't get both then the better deal would be Sakho instead.

Telegraph- Arsenal reject 16m bid but expect compromise in the next few days on a fee. Rather than a loan move.

Let's have another panic-stricken meltdown, what a good idea.

FFS.

Oh yeah what a meltdown. If we started the season 433, then I wouldn't be be concerned as much but playing 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 . You need specialists in them crucial positions.

wouldn't Tomkins be handy at RB in a 343? Then Ward covers him, and 30m for Sahko is problem solved. I'm not sure about getting players from the bigger London clubs either as they tend to develop a hatred for us. I think Tomkins struggled with this but he came good.
