Can't wait for the Dutch total football to come to Selhurst.

A simple game complicated by idiots and as long he realises how important set pieces and defensive organisation are for clubs of our stature in the Premier League we'll be fine.

If he doesn't then this will end in tears IMO.

On the plus side his experience and reputation at the top level should be a draw for new players.

We do not have the players to play total football.
If he does want to do that and persists with the players we have we will be in for a long season.
If he does he must have been promised a large transfer budget.

So I agree with you and hope he realises the limitations of our squad and plays to the strengths of the players as per Pulis and Sam.

I'm sure / you'd hope that would have been discussed in any post Pardew interview. Apparently his knowledge of the club and "humility" impressed parish and Co so fingers crossed!

Just listened to the SJ talksport interview. As much as I dislike him, he does talk some sense. He will always dislike Parish and Co, as didn't they wait for the administrators to come in so they could pay less? Resulting in him receiving much less. He basically lost his fortune due to us and the GFC.

I think and hope he's wrong about De Boer. As much as McClaren won the same league with Twente, Ajax do it with alot of youth and haven't won it since he left. I like TalkSport when they said that Serie A is a one horse race so it will always be difficult to break the Juve monopoly currently.

Pardew was a fool who did not know what to do to get the team out of the losing streak so just announced a change of style as an excuse to try and make out he was doing something. Nobody could really tell what the new style was.

Frank may be able to coach better , but you still need the players with the ability to make it work, this means all 11 players, which means we will need a lot of new players.

As said before I hope Frank is able to assess the players we have and find a successful style of play that suites and not just say 'Right start playing total / possession football'.

I think Frank will tell, demonstrate, coach and get the players believing in a system whereas Pardew clearly failed on 3 of those, but fair play he did probably tell them what to do!

If it really is going to be about possession football, I can honestly see Puncheon either being thrown under the proverbial bus or bench warming after a few games.

I hope de Boer doesn't chuck people under buses, he has a bit more quality than that. But I do agree that if anything is going to rip his knitting it'll be Puncheon going round in circles and then losing the ball cheaply. He'll either have to fix that or sell.
