He probably made few bob for the interview so had to make it sound good to the reporter. Total waste of space and money in my opinion and one of the worse signings ever.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Just seen that Swansea have offered French striker Bafetimbi Gomis, 31, to Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in exchange for Adebayor. So he's coming back in the country!

I know Gomis is no goal getter but he's not that bad surely?

Would love him to turn up on the bench at Selhurst next season what a reception he's going to get!

I read this article and wonder if we got the wrong end of the stick - isn't he just implying that he wasn't ready to get back to football but his entourage pressured him in to it? Not seen the full interview so betting I'm wrong though...

I recall his 'Panther' celebration after he scores !
Been notorious in the PL for being caught offside.
One of those "Never know what you are going to get from him" players but he can be a real handful.
Gary Monk signed him on a 'Free'from Lyon.
His goal scoring record isn't too bad at all and he did well for Marseille last season.

Exactly so why would anyone in their right mind swap Gomis for Adebayor? You can presumably train anyone even footballers not to stray offside all the time but its easier than trying to train someone the skills of forward play in the premiership in 2017!

What the F*&K Adebayor is going to do in Wales where it is wet and windy who knows, but I am sure when his little vacation is over he will claim it was 'The worst decision I have ever made'

I thought the same to be honest.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I think it's almost certainly what he meant. Doesn't detach from the fact he was f**king useless, but I'm not convinced his commentary was aimed at Palace specifically at all.

He really was bad wasn't he. I guess further makes me think we are right because he's kind of trying to excuse just how bad he was.

I don't think he's excusing it. That would have involved blaming the club or manager. He's actually doing the opposite, and admitting it was a mistake.

Yes, to me it read like an ageing rock star that had been enticed into a stadium tour that went down like a tonne of bricks.

One if the most ineffective players ever to don the Palace shirt. He took money under false pretences and made Jordan Mutch look like a dedicated professional footballer.

Has anything more damning ever been said about a person?!
