He did one good thing, scored a hat-trick when we were down to 9 men, if my memory serves me right.

Allen was Ok. What made his transfer worse was that Sansom went the other way, right?

Clive Allen, back years ago. Scored one of the best "disallowed" goals in the history of the game, and did naff all else.

Yep. Away to Coventry. After the highlights on TV the next day, a smug Jimmy Hill (of Coventry) said "to all you Palace fans; never mind - these things tend to even themselves out over a season."

It's funny; I'm still waiting...

How has no one mentioned Zohar???

Disliked him even more after he took the ball off Dyer (i think) for the pen and skied it!!

Gareth Taylor - Was absolutely terrible. I remember a home game where he managed to get the ball over the bar from inside 6 yard box. Still to this day cannot work out how he did that!

Thomas Brolin - My god he was huge. I suppose Ruddock also on that basis although at least he tried.

Jordan Mutch - For the money we paid but there was no hype as everyone knew he was crap

Marco Gabbiadini - Looked like a weeble and played like one!

David Price - Signed from Arsenal with big expectations. Was absolute poop. We used to say the physio came on with hair care products when injured as that was all he ever cared about! And to think we gave them Sansom and they did that to us!!

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Clive Allen scored 9 goals in 25 games for a poor Palace team. That whole p rood is disappointing but his record is pretty good.

I'm afraid it has to be an Italian.. either Padovano or Ventola. Both absolute crap. Their diaries of top Palace performances comes second only to the book of Italian war heroes.
We have bought some shocking overseas players...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Padovano for me.
Scored over 50 goals in Seria A and just 1 in the premier league against Leicester.
Apparently he recently spent 8 years in jail for drug trafficking!!??

And imagine if Scott Flinders had turned out as good as everyone hoped! ( I hear he is a lovely bloke though).

And there's fans who think Hennessy the worse goalie we ever had. Scott Butter Flinders was a whole new level of garbage. When we signed him an England u21 international and really didn't live up to it.
