This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bradley Lowery' by Penge Eagle RIP. Devastating for his family and loved ones. Seemed like a lovely kid from what I've seen. Life can be very cruel. I don't mean this to appear disrespectful at all but genuinely out of interest why have the media been so interested in this case above other young children with a terminal diagnosis?

Nothing nastily cynical, which is unusual for the media, but his love of football, and what with Sunderland being a Prem club and relatively famous , (it could have been Adele instead of Jermaine ), meant his situation was of interest to many including us. A news story in short. If he had supported Grimsby it wouldn't have got the print volume. Tragedy and show business always has an audience.
