Pardew, having taken him from Newcastle, he arrived with a bit of promise about him. Shame it didn't work out for us but he gave us some good memories!

Other than that, I'm looking forward to our next manager. Not overly enthusiastic for the links with Dyche though, has to be said

Pardew wasn't a coup, we threw good money at a manager that Newcastle wanted shot of. Played right into their hands.

Murray only scored six goals in the 2011-12 season, when Freedman was manager; the 30 goals were in the 2012-13 season and Freedman buggered off to Bolton in October 2012. Learn your history!

Sam Allardyce. He turned a bunch of headless chickens into a team capable of beating Chelsea and Liverpool in their own back yards and I was excited about what he was going to do for us in the next season

Correct. Getting him was so important last season.

Allardyce for me to. Took a little time but managed to get us out of what looked like nailed on relagation.

Peter Taylor was another for me. Was excited at the time of his appointment but sadly produced some of the most boring negative performances I have ever seen at Palace.

i agree

Absolutely agree in respect of Allardyce.

The right manager for us when we were in the 'Merde'.
Thought we were really in trouble when we lost to Sunderland but we went on to win 4 of the next 5 games, including a win at Chelsea. Remarkable.

Sam Allardyce is the best manager we have had, since Coppell.

We won't get another one as experienced or as good.

it depends on what you mean by coup. For me it is someone that you wouldn't expect us to be able to get, not just someone who is/was very good

That's why I don't think that Allardyce was a coup really. Not because he wasn't good for us but because at the time his stock was quite low and we offered him a chance of redemption. It was mutually beneficial

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Cannot remember the last manager I was genuinely excited about. Last I actually liked was Dougie...

The last four have all been morally contemptible t***s
