Wayne has his critics, but he has a great temperament - never gets flustered.

Today he looked comfortable with the high crosses.

His long kicking is another big plus.

His double fisted punch that completely missed the ball was comical as well. What a plonker.

Too right and what about not shouting for the ball when Benteke headed over our bar in the 1st half?

He had very little to do today but his long kicking was abysmal - gave the ball back to Hull nearly every time !!
Sam's first job now is to buy a good keeper for next season.

WH's kicking today was probably a result of the coaches telling him to kick it long. As the match progressed his distribution more with a few thrown balls that sparked quick counters. Big Sam more or less said he wasn't much interested in a great deal of midfield possession in his pre-match pressers.

Yes , and he has the guts to play , unlike Mandanda.

Tomkins. All things considered, wasn't fully fit I gather, bossed it.

Absolutely agree with all points.
Punch was inspirational. Big Sam deserves all the plaudits for making him captain

I agree with puncheon. His work ethic was outstanding and didn't give the ball away as much.

Zaha - that was one of the most important goals this season (or the most). He was switched on enough to see it happening and then clam enough to put it away. Perfect.

Got to give it to Jason ... played a captains role
All over the pitch with his tackling and passing.
Making 40 yard + runs to tackle back ... immense

PS ... All the team played there part ... could have gone horribly wrong but it didn't ..... EEEEAAAAAAGGGGGLLLLLEEEESSSSS

Schlupp for me although was impressed with Tompkins particularly as I wasn't overstruck on him to begin with.

Just watched after match interview with Luka where he said Tomkins, Cabaye and Townsend were carrying injuries.
So kudos to those three for the guts and to play like they did and prove that it's not all about the money.

Great performance by all of the lads but it's out of two for me either schluppy or Tomkins but like I said excellent by everyone (even Hennessy)

I thought (understandably) we were solid but uncommitting, unambitious and dull. Delighted as I am at the result they should have definitely had a penalty which would have produced a very different second half. The last two goals we scored were 100% down to Hull's over committing and leaving gaps at the back. The defenders air kick which gifted Wilf a 3 minute goal summed up our afternoon. We got lucky, very lucky. I'm not complaining but lets not all start getting Man U and boasting about how great and clever we are.
And Schlupp? No way was he one of our best players. Constantly having to helped/supported by Townsend. He struggled. One of our worst players on the day. I don't hold it against him, they all have a stinker from time to time but I'm not going to put him on a pedestal either.

A 4 - 0 win in a match with massive pressure and some people are *still* complaining. Good Grief.

Obviously you cant read.
I'm not complaining in any way. I'm as delighted as anyone with the win.
Lets not start telling ourselves little fibs it was a great performance though. We were not great and on another day things would have been a lot different. We won which is all that matters but it was hardly a classy performance and the scoreline flattered us no doubt
