OP is obviously a Brighton Troll. Big Sam is on top of this, lads took their foot/feet of the gas after the 38 point mark. Sam will get them up for Hull after ripping them a new one. Hoping Sam will stay for a couple of seasons as there is/are no better candidate/s out there right now and we need some consistency. Wasn't keen on his appointment due to all the BS over England but he's done fine, picking up after Pards broke the squad and making a team of them again. #PTID

I think the reality of the situation is that Allardyce has given a chance, when we had next to none. We've picked up a lot of points we would not have expected to get, but lost to Burnley (happens) and Man City (never likely to get a point), plus we've been plagued with injuries, specifically to our defence (three centre backs out).

Whilst I'm not Big Sam's greatest fan (I have stopped calling him Fat Sam) I would rather he was in situ next season. I think we could do well under him.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

Pardew had 3 transfer windows and ignored issues or actually made them worse (selling Jedinak and bringing in a pretty much retired has been). Allardyce came in and addressed them in 1 window. More will be addressed in the next, if we stay up, and he'll look beyond any players up for the sale in the daily mirror.

2 games to go, victories over Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool, Sakho, Tomkins, Cabaye & Dann out & the OP lays the blame with SP, what a plank.

Everyone's been saying for months that we had a tough run-in. And guess what.....we're in the middle of a tough run-in! Sam did all he could to drag us up to 38 points from a position of being totally stuffed under AP. He's done his bit. It's up to the players now - and the medical staff.

FFS we need one draw against Hull and we stay up with a match to spare. If we had been offered that scenario before BFS took over and given the state we were in, we would probably have bitten someone's arm off for it. Sam has struggled initially to get his ideas over to the players. Unfortunately, having achieved his aim of getting us to defend properly, he is now hamstrung by having to play defenders out of position and we are also missing our midfield playmaker, which is for me why Luka's recent performances have suffered a bit. Sam for me is in a different league to Pardew as a manager. He has far more tactical nous and is not one dimensional in his approach to the game. Give him a full season before anyone judges him.
