West Ham are only a point above us (with worse GD) but have Spurs & Liverpool at home then Burnley away. Nobody seems to be talking about them going down.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

West Ham aren't going down. Swansea would need 3 wins. We would to pick up at least a point. Hull would need 2 wins. Very unlikely

BFS unfortunately is a one style pony he does not know how to organise a team to break down solid defences he only knows how to hit teams on the break, hence our chances are better against the big boys. I think that's a little harsh on SA.

Don't know if it's fair to blame Sam for that, those are the well-known strengths of our squad and have been for years. Pardew failed because he was in denial of that fact: playing like this is encoded in the Palace DNA. Indeed we need ways to break down teams that sit on the edge of their penalty area and are good at running fast, like Leicester, but we actually did OK against them apart from Huth's goal. More investment in the attacking midfield will help that, as would not having Puncheon sit so deep, although Cabaye has been doing more in this department lately.

Still in our own hands as we have three games to take one point (ideally three). We're in a better place than Hull or Swansea, who have to win and rely on results elsewhere (namely each others, and ours). Interesting thing is a lot of other teams, are in the same hypothetical situation where taking no points and Swansea winning three, would put them in trouble. Time for stiff upper lips, iron hard resolve and confidence. Yes we could go down, but we're in a much better position than we were, and we're in the driving seat of the 'three most likely'. End of the day, you'd rather have the points, than the better run in.

Even though we are 6 points clear of Swansea, our goal difference is 19 better than theirs, which is basically a point so they cannot lose a game, I think they will bottle one of the three Edited by speediej (01 May 2017 2.27pm) Seeing as they have Everton next I'd not be feeling overly confident if I were a Swansea fan. Everton will want to win to get over a comprehensive loss against Chelsea. They will also still believe they can finish above Arsenal. Swansea have still only won 2 in 10 and they need to win 2 in 3 and avoid defeat in the other. We probably will only need another point. Sunderland are bad but I can see them getting a point or a win against either Swans or Hull.

Swansea Hull C Palace It's gonna go down to a slug fest between us and hull to ensure our safety. City is a bonus game. Really hope we can put a similar performance to Chelsea or Liverpool. However with Sakho I doubt this. I personally think that Swansea will win at least 2 games and we will have to match what they achieve in that Everton game. Can we rely on Everton. I'm not sure we can.

No ifs or buts the Swansea v Everton result is where we should all be looking. With Sakho out getting anything from Citeh is going to be unlikely so we have to rely on the nicer scousers to do the business. Even then we will beat or draw against Hull meaning Swansea have to win their last two. Our position is good.
