Ronaldo and Messi aren't as theatrical as Wilf

They are hammered all the time, but just get up and get on with it - they let their football do the talking.

As Captain, Puncheon should tell Wilf to get a grip or he risks being carded.

I'm surprised Sam hasn't sorted out this aspect of his game.

Can't believe people think he goes down too easily, that used to be the case but he knows he doesn't get all the decisions he should so tries to stay up.

Madley and the Main Stand linesman were shocking yesterday. It's obviously not a foul every time Wilf goes down, but just look at his reactions to some of the decisions and you can tell he think he's being wronged (as do I).

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.

Sam : Wilf, stop being fouled.
Wilf: What, boss?
Sam : Also smile when it happens. I'm told that your moaning is upsetting the refs
Wilf: What you smokin'gaffer?
Sam : Nothing, but you've got to sort out that chip on your shoulder.
Wilf: But,if I fall over I get nothing and if I stay up I get nothing.
Sam : Don't care, cut it out. You're costing us games and what's more Andros is starting to get more fouls now and copying you.
Wilf : So if I say nothing the ref thinks, that must of been a good tackle cos he ain't complaining. I can't win.
Sam : I know, but that's football now. Even some claiming to be Palace fans are backing those clowns with the whistle. Still on the bright side you'll become a genius the moment you sign for a bigger club and get untold protection. See Ya.
Wilf : Baffling.......

It's just an observation but I am amazed that all but one referee are from the north of England. The referee yesterday comes from Wakefield. 45 miles from burnley.

It's plainly obvious, there's one rule for the big 6 and another for the rest of us. Don't believe me check out the penalty City got at Boro, do you reckon Palace (Wilf) would have got that one! Not that that applies to yesterday's match however.
Wilf is the most fouled player in the league apparently. He's had a decent season but he does over do it now and then. Tries beating one defender too many and invariably loses out. One his day though he can be unplayable.

Yorkshire's hatred of Lancashire eclipses our rivalry with Brighton by some considerable distance.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

My favourite part was a tight bit of interplay between Townsend (I think) and Zaha down their right side. Townsend was fouled as he flipped the ball to Zaha, but the ref played on, then Zaha was fouled but he kept the ball so the ref played on, then Zaha was fouled again and the ball ricocheted off Wilf and over the byline. Madley gave a goal kick.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is world class incompetence or clear evidence of bias.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

They're not doing this because of individual preferences for particular teams or people. They're doing it because of vested commercial interests at a very high level (IMHO).

You made the classic mistake of assuming that fouls on Wilf count.

I'll admit I say some dumb things on here but come on never this bad.

Zaha is consistently provoked and usually policed by three defenders. It is surprising he stays up as long as he does and doesn't turn round and chin some of his persecutors. One day he will get a serious injury and does require more protection from referees.

Having said that he DOES go down too easily on occasions and he DOES whine at refs and linesmen.
Human nature being what it is (and most refs ARE human despite arguments to the contrary) it is no wonder that he doesn't get many of the decisions he deserves.

Someone must take him in hand and try to put a wiser man on young shoulders.

Yes I liked that from a referees prospective was he trying to play advantage to Townsend and then to Zaha then why not give a foul at the end of it? Clearly he wasn't which is why he gave a goal kick! Obviously decided no foul play had taken place at all! Clearly a deluded tosser along with his assistants who were also completely f*%king clueless! Zaha's offside !!!
