3 million will soon be 6 million. I think you underestimate how quickly populations can grow, especially when tens of thousands more are arriving every year.

S'alright, us traditional UK old folk in 2045 will still be alive in our millions too and we can fight them off with our walking sticks and lobbed bowls.

I suppose some of the 3 milliom Muslims will be dead by then so I reckon you and I and the gang will have them by the short and curlies number wise.

Hrolf I feel pity and sorrow for some of these posters, London is Ghetto in many more parts than it was in the 70s

Ha ha. I'm not going to make any predictions but the Muslim population had doubled in the last decade or there about and there are lots more beside Muslims.
If Multi culture brought only positives I would embrace it with both arms but that ain't the way it is.

Kermit it's not about colour or where you come from and we all come from somewhere ,Roman soldiers Saxon's Norman's etc but the very Christian ideas that the UK fought for a very long time, where was the vote for British people to change this ideology.

Fair enough. See where you're coming from. Yep, Churches were packed. Theory is is that materialism, shopping and overt capitalism and greed kind of took over from all that. Also, God doesn't exist as much now. But that's nothing to do with outsiders more the way how corporate and plastic society has become.

The major cities obvious have the vast majority of immigrants.
I'm not adverse to other culture but I do wonder how much being British will matter to a large chunk of the population in the coming years. Being born here does not necessarily mean you love Britain before your ancestral country. That can take many generations.

The British will still be here in 150 years. Probably still a major force. Big Ben will still be chiming. Nelson still be being shat on by pigeons. Their mentality will be different much as ours is different to those that were here in 1867. Religion may, or may not,be an important part of the culture.

What they won't be bothered about really, nor will it affect them too much, is what the British thought about things back in 2017.

People accept what they are born into. I just think it's a shame that all that we were will be erased in a relatively short time by a soaring world population and the increasing mass immigration that will mean unless we pull up the draw bridge to a greater extent.
It will also have an effect on our relatives that come after. The politics of this country will change and the divisions will grow.

London is a helluvalot more entertaining, interesting, vibrant and cosmopolitan than it was back in the 70's. Especially Sundays when back then the centre and periphery were like a ghost town during the day. More noise, pollution and expense for sure but now it is a World city.

You can still get your fix of the olde London in the huge swathes that is the SW of it.

What does 'vibrant' even mean in this context? How is London now more 'entertaining' with the mix of races, religions, customs and ways of living?
In what way is it more 'interesting' - seeing all the new problems thrown up by the Frankenstein Monster experiment? What is a 'world city'?
[I do miss quite Sundays - apart from when we beat Liverpool 2-1 of course.]

I can't help you with this one, Hedgie. Either you have lived it or you haven't. I was never one for frowning upon others.

True. You can't get fish 'n' chips in London no more, nor pubs, nor livemusic or comedy or nightclubs[r
and all the beautiful historic buildings have been turned into extremist mosques by the muslamics.

Restaurants only sell halal meat too

You can in Benidorm!
