Keep him happy and he works his socks off. When you look at the players celebrating goals and victories there is a togetherness between them all even on the bench.
Its amazing what confidence and a Good Manager can bring to a club. Inspired signings and a Chairman that backs him. I will say though that Andros can be a bit greedy at times and quicker putting the ball over to Benteke.

Couple times, once v Leicester and once v Liverpool, tekkers visibly had the serious hump with him for it. (So did Wilf v Leicester).

I think he backs himself to whack a shot away more than to thread a pass or place an accurate cross. But who knows?

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I Remember him being hauled off after 50 odd minutes at home to Swansea. He was being booed and rightly so. He nearly left on transfer deadline day on the win at b'mouth. I know he said in an interview that sammy lee gave him a shake up. His performances since that day have been great, especially his work rate been tremendous. On current form he certainly deserves an England recall.

This article sums up how and why he's improved.

Makes you realise how much the previous regime had ruined multi-million pound investments.

Under Pardew he deserved the stick he was getting, but recently, he has been a different player. Really hope he stays with us next season.

He's just one of many players who were wasted under Pardew.

For me, if Townsend does nothing else, I'll always love him for that goal!

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

He was my Palace man of the match v Burnley. He certainly put in a shift.
