Are you Nostradamus, have some kind of agent inside knowledge, or just yet another Cpfc forum doomsayer making baseless statements? There's been rumours about a muted move to spurs. After watching football for over 20 years. It's a educated guess. He's done all he can at Palace. He deserve a big stage to flaunt his talent. I'd be surprised if Wilf a Palace player next season. Happy but suprised.

No more baseless than the ones who say he's going nowhere! I personally believe he deserves a bigger platform than us now and would be unhappy if he was forced to stay. He's given us 200+ games, and it is the right thing to do for a player of his talent. He deserves medals and trophies which we simply cannot give him. As for a replacement? I doubt that there is one that comes anywhere near to the talent of Wilf. You're a bundle of positivity, aren't you? So 3 years left on his contract is 'baseless', and we're too rubbish to offer him what he deserves? Bore off and continue supporting a team that give you the medals and trophies you obviously deserve for endless optimism.

The more people like you post this negative "I think it invetable that Wilf will leaves us at the end of the season" kind of stuff, the louder the 'rumours' (aka B.S.) get, because usually it's forums like this that those 'rumours' start. If it's from Wilfs' side, his performances deserve more money than we are paying, when looking at other players' contracts, so it would be remiss of his agent to not try to get an improved contract (that we CAN afford) for his client. Or if it's from Spurs' side these 'rumours' come from, it would hardly be the first time Levy has tried to unsettle a player, in fact he does it all the time. It wouldn't surprise me if people like Levy or his representatives had some kind of presence on forums like this to aid with the unsettling and shave a few £Mil off his price, in fact it would be stupid not to. At the moment posters like yourself are serving that purpose nicely. If we were all resigned to relegation, and had no fight in us as supporters, would you be surprised if we were relegated? In fact, don't bother answering, you'd probably be first in the queue of relegation inevitability.

As a profession what's football is you always want to better yourself. What spurs can offer Wilf is champions league football, new stadium and improved salary. What he's achieved with Palace that is it. A cup final, top 10 finish and survival in the prem. why should we hold Wilf back in his career. He owes us nothing. He fired us to the promise land. I believe Wilf can be as good as bale/hazard in a few years.

I agree he will be as good as Bale and Hazard so should just hold on or up his game until Barca / Real / Juve / PSG come knocking, not dodgy knock-down wheeler-dealers and perennial underachievers Spurs! As for 'owing us nothing', as a club we got behind him unquestionably when his confidence was shot after going to a "big (w***y) club"...and on loan to a 'smaller' club in Cardiff where he was also found lacking. We are now seeing the fruit of this belief and patience in his skills, so this relationship has (and will hopefully continue) to be mutually beneficial. I don't actually see us as being a team that far off a top-6 finish, but we need the belief in the team to get us there, and posters like you are doing the polar opposite of that. As for wages and a shiny stadium, that will come.

With regards to our current position, I'd agree, but we are in a false position in the league. Before the Pardew-induced mental slump we were looking every bit the top-half team. It would seem the mental slump has continued into the support-base, and at no point said we are a big club, but we aspire to become one with players like Wilf. We might as well pack up and give in now if we have no aspirations for greatness. And Wilf has been to a big club and the grass wasn't as green.

Bale from Tottenham to Real Madrid Bar Ronaldo and Robben, they are the only players to have been bought from a UK team by Madrid, Barca or Bayern. They buy players from (mostly) non-UK countries - who should be finishing top half in their leagues, or have picked them up early and have them playing for years in their B-League teams. The Premier League has more strength in depth team-wise than most other leagues...Leicester being a good example of a bottom-half team doing very well in The Champions' League. Didn't Wilf kick up a fuss in the summer just gone when Spurs put in a bid and we rejected it? I'm sure even SP mentioned it and told him that we'd only accept an offer similar to Bolasie's if not more, on current form. I can't see him staying, although I can't see where he'd fit in at Spurs where their full backs are their wingers but Spurs are a club on the up, new stadium, champions league, English players performing well and a London club, it's well documented Wilf got homesick in Manchester - why would he not go?!
