I did think 35 would be enough but Hull's upturn in home form has changed a lot. God help us if they found a way to play effectively away. I actually think we could now need 40 unless a team in that Burnley to Watford range goes into a genuine tailspin.

(I was going to agree that 35 would be enough but then I looked up our rivals' remaining games -- now I'm a lot less confident)

35 could be enough to stay up. I wouldn't want to rely on that though. 37 with a reasonable GD or 38 points is usually fine.
