Sorry Willo, standard is a disgrace and nothing you say will change that in my book.
All of them are guilty of the same thing, not having the guts to make the big calls. This must be the case, otherwise being bent is the only other excuse. If we'd got three goals, we'd now be above Boro on goals scored, so those bottled decisions are bigger than some believe.
I seriously wonder what exactly is a foul on Zaha? Opposition players know this and Wilf has been lucky in recent weeks, cos the first one is now blatantly meant to hurt him.

Saw the JM incident numerous times and it was a penalty as was the push on Zaha. The other Zaha incident was as someone has already said, a coming together and not a foul. The officials also called Benteke wrongly offside. Poor officiating generally.

That wasn't offside they gave that one as handball as it flicked off his wrist. Wasn't intentional and his hands were down so was still a wrong decision.

Two weeks ago Stoke were given carte blanche to do anything they wanted to him and the week before that Olsson should blatantly have been sent off for continuing to foul him after he had already been carded.

Anyway on what planet does McArthur ever dive? It's not even plausible.

Indeed. Pity you didn't back them up with any evidence.

In real time Willo, at the game, the referee got numerous decisions wrong: My opinion and that of so many others, even when removing our red n blue rimmed specs. Refs are indeed 'only human' but less so when performing with the sheer incompetence shown today!

Sadly mate, your constant supercilous opinions are, far from creating the air of expert that you crave/demand, proving you to be an almighty laughing stock.

Just once, leave others to post and debate with your need to denounce everyone else's opinion.

The Referee does NOT have this advantage and forms a judgement from his sight angle in a fast moving scenario, not forgetting the fact that he has to be virtually instananeous in his decision making. All very easy reviewing incidents in the comfort of a TV studio and several times at that.

And I also mentioned that MoTD made it very clear where the officials were and what they could see and explained exactly why the referee should have had no problem calling the McArthur penalty decision correctly in real time from where he was standing. You chose to ignore this point and just pasted in your usual claptrap about replays, despite the fact that I had already dealt with it.

Watched the whole match streamed in Australia. The ref looked biased. Zaha was fouled and should have been a penalty. After that, any 50/50 went Middlesbrough's way.

As for so called s..e refereeing being acceptable, after every game his/her performance is 'Forensically' analysed in the 'Corridors of power' and they will form a judgement as to his/her performance on the day.

And what exactly will happen to him for being totally incompetent and maybe even biased?? Answer..nothing! Its almost a joke watching Wilf getting kicked from pillar to post week after week, with no referee seeming to give him any protection at all from thug defenders whose only way to stop him seems to be fouling him, which they do with impunity as there is never any punishment! Guarantee if Wilf does move to Tottenham he WILL get penalties awarded week in week out by the very same referees who deny him now.....bias?? Maybe, possibly! And I see that youve already done the "I dont want to turn this into a Willo thread" post....yeah after youve already done your utmost to do just that with your ridiculous defence of the indefensible referee yesterday...Well done Willo!!!!

I won't accuse Madley of being biased.

But he was certainly incompetent.

One decision after another he called incorrectly.

A spell in the National League would be appropriate.

Why should he be allowed to mess up their weekends too? A spell in the classroom learning how to referee a game fairly would be much more useful, as would a trip to Specsavers after the McArthur booking joke

To be fair(!), his incompetence included not booking Luka in the first half, for what looked like quite a scythe.

Willo
As much as I like you, I can't help but think that you were 'sitting down' during the game, hence missing the refs abysmal performance

To put it into further context for you, My 10 year old nephew was able to justifiably call out the ref's bad decisions time after time.

At best it was a Clattenburgesque shambles, without the s***e tattoos.
