930am tomorrow the presser. But I cant see how Sam can throw him in the team with next to no preparation time with him. Maybe on the bench? He didn't need a work permit to train with the team though, I assume? He might have trained like a trooper all week for all we know........

I think actually, joking aside, I'd love to see some of the maligned players get to play and put in a decent performance. I'm laying into people like Punch but actually I'd rather see him play a great game than get dropped. I'll groan to see a largely unchanged side, don't get me wrong, but at the same time if they vindicate themselves I'll be very happy about it. With the greatest respect it's that kind of thinking that kept Pards in post overlong! There's a few arses need kicking and a good shakeup is needed, starting with the likes of Punch, Ward, Hennessey and Damo... particularly when we now have decent options in most of those positions.

He could have trained but presumably BFS has been putting a game plan together and getting the team drilled on that basis. I would have thought it was a bit risky to include Luka in that if there appeared a strong doubt over whether he would be available. Depends on whether he can do a straight swap for whoever was going to play in his place. But if they have altered the system on the expectation he wouldn't be available then he'll probably be on the bench?

Maybe instead of cancelling the overseas training camp it could have been moved to Greece? Then he could have trained to his heart's content. It's this sort of inductive brilliance that has got me where I am today - a nobody. Edited by Direwolf (09 Feb 2017 5.57pm)

I'm not suggesting it's likely. Besides, luckily enough I'm not in charge of the team anyway! Edited by Part Time James (09 Feb 2017 6.14pm)

Earlier in the week somebody posted that we ought to play every game like an away game. Let's start playing our matches in Greece too and then job done.

I wonder if there is a rule that you have to play in your home country or can you just choose a nice sunny place with cheap beer? I kinda know the answer to this but too much wine makes me ask the question anyway.
