We have, effectively, six new signings in Steve, Remy, Sakho, Luka, Schlupp and PVA. It all depends how fit/good they are and how quick SA can meld them into the team. His CV would say he's up to the task but so far it's gone against him.

His CV would say he's up to the task but so far it's gone against him. i argree, we are only 2 points away from the pack ,BUT the thing that worries me is that nothing has gone right for us all season we seem to play teams coming into form refs decisions going against us bad injuries i.e connor wickham ,steve,pape a £30mill striker who can not hit a penaltie who is slow and ponderous and makes us look so predictable and like saturday 27 shots on goal 11 on target and zero scored there are so many issues to be sorted out, sam is a better long term option than the previous joker ,but we really need a change of luck

The problem we have got is that the teams that seemed to be cut adrift before the new year are now looking in good shape . The only teams in danger that are not winning are Leicester ,Boro ,and us. Its going to be right scramble ,a right scramble in which we are going to need points to be part of . Bournemouth away was the sort of performance that will get us a chance , Sunderland at home form will see us disappear off the radar and into the championship . The next couple of games will tell us where we are going

My gut still says we can stay up. We're not that far adrift of Leicester and Middlesbrough. I dunno why, I just think we'll nick it.
