So good fans are supposed to bend over and take whatever rubbish is thrown at them ? That was an absolute disgrace, and anybody who cares about the club has a right to be upset about it. Whatever your opinions are of the HF, you cannot fault their commitment. They give 100% every week, the same cannot be said for the players. Not yesterday they didn't I was in the Arthur Wait Block Z looking down on them.by the start of the second half, half of them had left the other half were on their phones not even watching the game. I took my wife yesterday for her second ever match, First being the West Brom game were we were sitting right next to the west brom fans. She asked me then if next time i took her could we sit by the HF as she has heard they are the best fans in the league, She hears them on the telly every week banging the drum making the most noise and wanted to witness this in real life.I will be totally honest she does not particularly like football or support Palace. She went to witness the passion and frankly was disappointed. On the long drive back to Torquay she asked me why they stopped chanting in the second half? She said "I thought they were meant to sing louder if you were losing, you know to encourage the team" I tried to explain that people were shocked at how bad that team had played and let in 4 goals in the first half. Her reply, " Well there was another 45 minutes , didn't you score 3 against liverpool once?" Her main point was if you tell someone they are sh*t all the time they will be sh*t. If you encourage them and believe in them they will be better. On the plus side she want to go again and loved the passion shown by the fans we sat around us.
