I believe the correct term is 'despise intensely.'
I despised him intensely when he played for us (along with several thousand others on the terraces) and that intense despisery(Bexleydave) hasn't lessened.

I don't think I can ever recall a manager being expected to perform miracles so quickly as Allardyce since he's been here, Its f***ing unbelievable.Maybe its because we've pretty much got the England set up so expectations are high or maybe people are just f***ing idiots.It seems like some can not wait to jump on him.Someone was caining him the other week for sitting down and chewing gum! I mean who would you rather see chew gum? Allardyce or the previous prima donna wobbly gob t***.

All I know, is he shouldn't be chewing gum whilst he is doing an inane dance in case he chokes. Now was that Pardew or Allardyce? Seriously though, I like the character that Allardyce has (without the dance) it was the thought of negative play that worried me. However, if we can reproduce the effort and commitment the lads put in the other night, I may even get to like him a bit more. Giving him a little bit more time is a must, but we haven't got a lot left.

Big sam has done well he has identified the issues gone out and tried to get what we need to stay up and I think his dealing will prove vital come the end of the season I think Sakho is worth 6 points alone with his vast experience

We looked organised defensively on Tuesday evening, with a back five that was in a very straight defensive formation for much of the game. The rest of the players, including Townshend when he came on, also worked hard to protect the back five. This is a vast improvement in a short amount of time with the international break and Fa Cup to deal with.Although not generally a fan of managers buying players they have previously worked with, it was clear that Van Aanholt was used to this system and fitted in straight away and very comfortably. He is quick and reads the game well. I am sure that Big Sam will use this formation to good effect away from home and plan to frustrate and pick off the opposition.For me the planning that Big Sam puts into our home games is paramount. A BACK 5, looking to draw in the opposition etc won't work in my opinion.we need to play a bit more on the front foot. We have the players for 4-1-3-2 0r 4-1-4-1 in the squad now with my preference for 2 upfront.
Scoring the first goal is key and I could even see use going to a back five QUICKLY if we go one nil up against Sunderland or anyone at home.
We will see what Saturday brings but I have a feeling that we will gain another three points and at least point from Middlesbrough. A fair return at this stage.....
