Delaney has a wise head on him. If you think a few moves in advance, you don't necessarily need pace. I would play him in central midfield. If there's one thing lacking in his game, it's that he hasn't learned to charm the referees. If you watch Wayne Rooney play, he is constantly occupying 'the lug' (the crucial space near the man in black's ear hole.) If Delaney can master the skill of broadcasting to the ref for 90 minutes, there is no limit to the number of decisions he could influence. Aw! The refs don't understand Wayne Rooney. Colleen barely manages.

Damo has been quality for us but, as others have said, he can't go on forever. Well worthy of a place on the bench though, can't think of anyone I'd rather bring on in the 70th minute to get stuck in if we're defending a 1-0 lead.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

he would seem to be the obvious choice of the three. sakho is a left footed centre half so Damo will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Put Thomkins right back drop ward and leave DD where he is bearing in mind that Thomkins has scored a couple playing at RB.
