1) not working out so well so far is it?
2) we have 8 injuries in total I believe, competition for places makes a huge difference
3) throwing silly money at bang average players

Clear enough for you?

I begrudge one thing from Mr Parish and one thing only;letting external investment monopolies decisions (I don't care if he says he's in control of daily running's, money talks)

Can yo name the players that we should be signing that you know to be available in our price range

Allardyce has only been here for a month and his backroom team for a lot less; no one can put a year of Pardew's crap right in that time.

In addition to the three long-term injuries I've already mentioned, there's Mutch with a knock and Jonathan Benteke with a knee injury, neither of which are more than fringe players, plus Schlupp, who has cramp and will be back in the next week. That's six, of which, as I've already said, only three are long-term and first-team regulars.

We've made one purchase so far, and Schlupp looked pretty good to me on Saturday.

Is that clear enough for you?

There is no evidence whatsoever that the US investors "monopolise decisions"; take a listen to the podcast of Parish's interview on HOL Radio for the real story.

I think it's pretty clear that the club has been trying to do so from the second the window opened. Is it not blatantly obvious from everything that's been stated by them and the numerous stories in the press?

Folk seem to forget that there is a finite amount of cash, FFP holds us back, players don't want to join a relegation battle, our facilities are still not that great (albeit improving all the time) and some may just not want to play for us nor our manager.

Even when you get agreement, contracts are so complex these days even the mighty Manure don't seal their deals in 24 hours anymore.

I know I'd rather they took their time getting in players who want to play for us than those who are just looking for a big payday.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

You're correct, of course. I was pointing out that the claim that we're spending profligately on players we don't need is rather absurd.

Before transfer window's were invented, i seem to recall Bert Head buying new, obscure players almost every other week. Kept us up for a couple of seasons i think.

Personally I don't see Souare making it back. Add the fact we needed to upgrade him anyway getting two left footers in makes perfect sense.

Samba can do one as far as I am concerned pointless signing.

Not sure we now need Brady if we sign PVA.

Also £10 million is pretty much the standard for a PL player. Go down the leagues and it will be cheaper but not much. Everyone wants a slice of the very big pie. It's something you're going to have to get used to.

Give Allardyce and Parish a chance. Come back on 1st Feb and see where we are transfer wise.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Everybody says January is a difficult window and we know most of the deals get done in the last day sweep.

Why is that? Because everyone dances round the handbags and waits until the equivalent of the last dance before getting off with someone!

Selling clubs, agents and players are looking to get auctions going (see Snodgrass, today, not earlier).

Buying clubs look to do their dealing early, but if selling clubs, agents and players want to see what else might come up, there's not a lot can be done earlier.

The fact that we are giving a trial to Samba supports your view. It worries me that BFS has only one way to manage and he is desperate to get in players that have played his way in the past. Ok you might say that that is wise but Samba !!!

He's not getting the band back together he's forming a whole orchestra.

I was going to mention that! Didn't work greatly then! Bit worrying when SA is talking about trying to get players who weren't on his main list. They need to better than what we have.

Samba seems sensible to me. He's only 32, lots of experience and will probably make training sessions more competitive.

Not sure about every week but I remember in 1971 Bert selling Steve Kember to Chelsea.

He then used the money to purchase 5/6 players including Willie Wallace and Bobby Kellard came back to play for the club.

I liked Kellard.

It will be very nice to read that another player feels he has a future with Palace.
